I'm married and stepparent of two boys. I'm thoroughly convinced that my cooking played a big part in my husband falling in love with me. Once I started cooking him dinner things got serious very quickly!
My favorite things to cook
I love using my cast iron reversible grill/skillet! It was also the first wedding gift we received, from my favorite people in the whole world.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom didn't really teach me how to cook, but she did give me jobs in the kitchen, some I still hold to this day. For example, I've stirred the gravy for Thanksgiving turkey every year except the one we had it at my inlaws.
My cooking triumphs
I do pretty well, if I do say so myself. I experiment a lot, and I can honestly say that most of what I prepare gets rave reviews all the time.
My cooking tragedies
In Home Ec class when I was in 7th grade we had a free day to make whatever recipe from the semester we wanted. My group of 3 or 4 classmates decided we'd make corn muffins. Sadly, we accidentally substituted salt for sugar. Ugh!
