Easy Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2013
This has to be the easiest and my go to sugar cookie recipe.... Love, love, love it. I make it in advance and wrap in plastic wrap and place in the freezer until the time I need it. Then I just cut off in small portions and roll in balls and then roll in colored sugar and bake.. Yummy. I do add some almond extract in with the vanilla and it gives it a great taste.

Slow Cooker Pork Chops II

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2012
I have this cooking in the crock pot right now.. Can't wait to try it out.. I did brown the chops in a skillet first and then sauted some onions and garlic in the drippings and then deglazed the skillet with the chicken broth and added the rest of the ingredients to the skillet and poured it over the chops in the crock pot. I did not have any poultry seasoning so I used sage but I had all the other ingredients called for.. I will probably serve this with red new potatoes, fresh purple hull peas and home grown tomatoes. Yum.. My mouth is watering all ready..Smells good and looks good. Update..This was so good. We are having it for left overs tonight.

Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2012
OMGoodness....This is wonderful.. I used beef stock in place of the water called for, beefy onion soup mix, sliced onions and golden mushroom soup. Didn't think my husband would eat it if he knew there was cream of chicken soup in it.. So delish....Wait until he finds out that he is eating cauliflower in his mashed potatoes.lol

Picante Beef Steaks with Sauteed Onions

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2011
I make this stuff all the time..did not know there was a recipe for it..Anyhow...I cook mine in the electric skillet and let it simmer for a long time to get tender and I also use Rotel instead of Picante sauce. I also do boneless pork chops this way. Season it with garlic powder, salt and pepper.

Peppered Bacon and Tomato Linguine

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2009
the bacon or at least the grease is one of the key things that makes this taste sooo good.. Of course the garlic adds to it as well. So simply to make and so good in the summer for something light to eat.

Waldorf Salad II

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2008
My first attempt at making a Waldorf salad. Made this for Christmas.. Did not measure just eyeballed... I did not want it too creamy or full of mayo so just used a tiny bit of mayo mixed in with the sugar then added a little bit of Cool Whip.. Used Craisins instead of raisins. Turned out pretty good.

Pasta e Fagioli a la Chez Ivano

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2008
I have not made this version of Pasta e Fagioli b/c I have my own version but to Kat6678 or anyone looking for the ditalini pasta I have only found it one time but at Albertson's in Texas I have found one of their products called salad macaroni that looks exactly like ditalini pasta in size and taste. I usually get several bags of it and put in the freezer for future use.

Cranberry Sauce I

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
This recipe is very good. I have been making cranberry sauce from the directions on the bag after watching my mother-in-law do it. My family always just bought the can stuff, which I would not eat. So this year I used two cups of orange juice, 2 bags of cranberries, 1 cup of brown sugar and 1 cup of white sugar with just a touch of cinnamon and a touch of vanilla. Awesome stuff. None left to bring home.

Slow Cooker Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
Very good potatoes and none left over this year. I used chicken broth in place of the boullion and added it back in slowly so not to make the potatoes soupy. Also added the cream cheese and sour cream in small amounts. Ended up using almost 16 ounces of sour cream and 2 boxes of cream cheese. I probably used about 8 pounds of new potatoes with the skins left on. My slow cooker cooks really hot so I did not leave them in much more than 1 hour on low and then switched it to keep warm. I added some butter and about 4 pieces of crispy bacon before serving. Some chives or green onions would be good also. I did place the terry cloth towel between the crock pot and the lid and did not have soupy potatoes at all but then they were not soupy to begin with.

Honey Mustard Salad Dressing

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2007
OMG! This is great!!! I used Hellmans Light mayo and cut down on the oil. I don't measure things out just eyeball and taste. Did not have any parsley but added some poppy seeds. I might not add the sugar the next time as I think the honey is sweet enough. I did use apple cider vinegar and balsamic vinegar as I did not have any white vinegar. Also used a little French's mustard and some ground double superfine mustard as I really did not know which one to use. Turned out wonderful!!!!! I am impressed.
