Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2008
Very good cookies. I've never been able to get my cookies crispy on the edges and chewy on the inside like this before! I melted the butter, used more brown sugar than white (maybe 40:60). and made sure the batter and pan was cold before sticking it into the oven. I chopped the walnuts really fine because my sister doesn't like nuts in her baked good. I put them in for just under 11 min (walnut sized) and they were perfect!

Best Ever Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2007
It was a very good banana bread. Not too sweet and the banana taste was great. If I had something bad to say, I was say it was a TAD bit heavy and dense. I would have liked it to be slightly more fluffy. I might try to use a little less flour, make sure I don't over mix next time. EDIT: I have made this bread again, same amount of flour (I forgot to use less) and made sure I didn't overmix and it was excellent. I put a butter/sugar/oats crumble on top and it was just delicious!

Kentucky Butter Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2007
this cake was just great! I doubled the butter sauce and it was perfect and used a 8.5" springform cake pan. It was very dense and yummy! I topped it with freshly whipped cream and fresh in season fruits! Will make again!.. and again and again!

Whipped Butternut Squash

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2006
Personally, I like the butternut squash just plain, without any sour cream. It surprisingly sweet, without any sugar or honey!

Healthy Banana Cookies

Reviewed: May 31, 2006
They should not be called "cookies" because it's misleading and could be disappointing to some, but I thought they were a delicious healthy snack. They're more of a chewy oatmealy granola bar type texture. If you don't think they are sweet enough I encourage you to put a little more dates in. I made 12 servings and I substituted the oil with applesauce (1 to 1-1/3 ratio)! I am certainly going to make these again, maybe I will try some ginger/cinnamon and maybe raisins and nuts this time!
