Zucchini and Onion Pancake

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2011
It is seldom I just can't finish eating something I make, but this was just not something I could handle. The only way I could think of that this might be valuable is layered with tomatoes as a quiche filling, otherwise I wouldn't recommend.

Blackened Salmon Fillets

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2011
I used a light coat of olive oil instead of butter and ran out of paprika at 1 Tbl but turned out fantastic! I only put the seasoning on one side as the fillet I got still had the skin and I wanted to leave that on, and I'm glad I did cause I still got a nice salmon flavor as well as the spices.

Was nervous but these were great! Sliced fairly thick and turned out tender and tasty.

Cheesy Polenta

Very tasty! I put in a few leaves of fresh basil and may add a Tbl of parm or something similar but pretty decent overall. Thanks

Asian Noodles

Could not bring myself to boil the mushrooms and peppers. Sauteed them in olive oil and some rice cooking wine instead. Also added about a Tbl extra of soy sauce and sprinked in basil instead of parsley. Turned out good.

Maple Glazed Tofu

Reviewed: May 21, 2010
Was a decent recipe. The glaze tasted a bit too much of mustard when I made it so ended up about doubling the soy and adding a tsp of Worcestershire sauce and a bit more syrup. Though the mustard I used was Dijon mustard with whole seeds in it and that might have been the problem. Next time I will be using half the mustard, and adding the Worcestershire again. Definitely worth a try, if you like tofu.

Absolute Best Pancake Syrup

Reviewed: May 11, 2010
Very good recipe. My fiance said it reminded her of Snickerdoodles. She put bananas on her pancakes and this over top. I really enjoyed it as well. Was definitely a bit sweeter then regular maple syrup, and was a bit thin but over all was quite tasty.

Carrot Rice

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2010
Good recipe. Tried this last night. I used jasmine rice instead of basmati. I added a clove of garlic, and chopped the carrots instead of grating. Next time I will probably double the amount of peanuts and will grate the carrots (didnt cook long enough to get as tender as we would have liked). Was great paired with Easy Masoor Daal. Thanks!

Easy Masoor Daal

Great recipe! I did use green lentils instead of the red simply because its what I had on hand. Wouldn't change a thing beyond that. Was flavorful and had a bit of a kick. Anyway, this will definatly become a staple in our house.

Laura's Unbelievable Chicken and Pasta

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2010
Very tasty base recipe. I did make a couple slight changes and will be making a couple more next time since it didn't seem quite as flavorful or rich as we like. We used morningstar chicken griller patties and veggie broth instead of of the meat products. We also added 3 small cloves of garlic, maybe a teaspoon of oregano, a bit more pepper, and a little salt. Next time we will be adding another 5-10 tomatoes as well as about 3/4 cup parmesan or similar cheese toward the end.

Great recipe! Very flavorful! Only real change I made was adding a few extra cloves of garlic.

Easy Spinach Lasagna with White Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2009
Wonderful Recipe! Added mozzarella to each layer, and parmesan on top. Also lightly sauted the mushrooms with 3-4 cloves of minced garlic. I plan on leaving out the milk next time, the sauce I used was Classico afredo with roasted red peppers. Used whole wheat noodles and soaked them in warm water about 15 minutes before layering. Everybody raved!

Chinese Dan-Bin

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2008
Very good recipe! Was wonderfully simple as well. We left out the bacon as we don't do meat, and put salsa and sour cream over the top. My girlfriend wasn't expecting to really like it but we just ate it for the second night in a row by her request. Might add onion next time. The diced chilis I've seen mentioned in other reviews would be good as well I think.

Sesame Udon Noodles

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2008
Was quite tasty. We didn't have any peanut oil so I used some creamy peanut butter instead. I think I will like it better with the oil. I also added some rice cooking wine. I will probably be adding cubed tofu to it next go round but all round a solid recipe.

Oriental Tea Leaf Eggs

Very good recipe. My girlfriend and I have made tea eggs twice now and kind of merged this and the other recipe from this site. The first batch was a bit too salty, but this new batch is fantastic!

Coconut Curry Tofu

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2008
A wonderful recipe! Has become one of our staple dinners. We like to serve it with flour tortillas, to help cool the heat a little and because it was the closest we had to naan the first time we made the recipe.

Swimming Angels

Well, I put the sauce over chicken with broccoli and mixed peppers. And decided to chop some peanuts and sprinkle over the top to garnish. But the main part of the recipe was really the sauce. And man was the sauce fantastic! Might try the tofu and spinich at some point (couldn't last night cause my mom won't eat tofu) but this was the best peanut sauce I've ever had. My family raved!

Easy Crabmeat Enchiladas

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2008
An ok base recipe. After taking most of the suggestions listed, plus a few changes of my own it barely resmbled the original. I dont think this would be very good as is but is a decent starting place.
