Corn Fritters

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2013
Great recipe that gives lots of room for you to make it your own. I use cream style corn to add more flavour (and cut down the milk slightly to make up for the added liquid).

Absolutely the Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2012
I used butter instead of shortening and a mix of white choc chips and butterscotch chips instead of milk choc - these came out perfect!

Creamy Lasagna Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2011
Awesome recipe. The lasagna wasn't too heavy and the proportions are easy to adjust to your taste. I used a little less sour cream and didn't measure out the cheddar used in between layers - I just used a couple of handfulls. I didn't have green onions on hand; but I don't think it would've made much of a difference. A jar of Ragu or Prego would've subsituted the tomato sauce just fine. Best thing about this recipe? The ingredients are affordable! So much cheaper than buying ricotta/cottage cheese etc....

Banana Crumb Muffins

This recipe really doesn't need any changes - very very yummy! I did add a dash more cinammon though (just 'cos I like the taste. :) )

Thick-Style Lebanese Garlic Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2011
This tasted good but I utterly failed at using this recipe in a normal blender. It did work though when I used a food processor and slowly added the oil and lemon juice (alternating the oil and lemon juice bit by bit). thanks for the yummy recipe!

Authentic Kicked-Up Syrian Hummus

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2011
This recipe is great! I didn't have Cumin on hand so I replaced it with Chilli powder... still tasted yummy and it added an extra "kick" to the dip.

Caramelized Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 10, 2010
I LOVE this recipe! :) I use the mix as a marinade for chicken wings... add a couple extra cloves of garlic and marinate overnight. The following day, I lay the wings out on a metal tray and drizzle some sauce over each wing (i don't use all the sauce). This turns out great every time!

Garlic Spread

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2010
i think this requires much more garlic before it can really be considered a "garlic spread"! :) i added 4 cloves and it came out just perfect.

Belle and Chron's Spinach and Mushroom Quiche

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2010
:) yummy recipe except that i'd suggest sauteeing the spinach, onion and mushrooms together with a dash of pepper. i also did away with the salt since the bacon was already pretty salty.

Pecan Pie IV

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2009
My first time making pecan pie! :) The recipe's really easy and the taste is nice - found it a bit gooey though. like many have commented; the filling didn't fully set. i couldn't keep it in the oven longer as the pecans started to burn. (tried this recipe again and realised that it doesn't turn gooey if you melt the butter first! :) the taste of this pie is delicious!)
