Pecan Pie III

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2006
This recipe was ok, I have made better pecan pie recipes than this. I tried it and we ate it, but I think that I'll stick to my other recipe.

Oreo™ Cookie Bark

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2006
This recipe was very easy to make and everyone liked it. I usually dip my oreo's in melted white chocolate and this was a change.

Granny Kat's Pumpkin Roll

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2006
This recipe was easy and fun to make. Don't let the directions about rolling the dough scare you, it was a breeze. Everyone enjoyed it and came out looking great on the dessert table.

Cream Cheese Frosting II

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2006
I made the "moist carrot cake" from this site and wanted to frost it and I'm glad that I came across this recipe. It was a perfect finish to my carrot cake. I did cut the recipe down a bit and still had some leftover. Thanks for sharing!!

Moist Carrot Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 23, 2006
This cake was very good, however I think next time that I will cut back a little on the oil. No one complained but I knew how much went into the mixture. I will definitely make it again. Also, I made a smaller verison by using a loaf pan and I put a little too much batter in the pan and yes it did overflow (thank goodness it was on a cookie sheet), baking time was alot longer and I thought that it was going to be a total loss.... but it came out fantastic!

Grandma's Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2006
This soup is delicious. I did saute the celery, onions and carrots as another reviewer mentioned and the family loved it. I did not add the noodles to the soup, rather I cooked them seperately. Some went back for seconds...thanks so much for sharing.

Lentil Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2006
This soup was easy to make, but lacked something and I'm not sure what should be added. I'm going to reheat it today and maybe add some more spices. It's good and I'll make it again with some additions.

Tater Tot Casserole III

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2006
Made this recipe last night... I didn't have cereal so I used crushed crakers. My husband and I liked it...youngest son said it tasted like too much butter. Next time that I make it, I'll cut back on the butter.

Golden Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2006
The best pork chop recipe that I have come across so far. I did brown them first by using olive oil spray with minced garlic. Just a minute or two for each side, then followed the recipe exactly. I made two packages which was 12 pork chops and my husband absolutely loved them. I never used golden mushroom soup before and I'm glad that I did because it was very good. Be very careful not to over cook and you won't be disappointed.

I husband always wanted to try broccoli rabe, so I'm glad that I came across this recipe. It was delicious, but the kids were not so amused, they refuse to try it.

Oven Roasted Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2006
They were good but the family prefers the olive oil with Lipton onion soup mix. I did not have marojam, next time I'll cut back the dill. Also, the recipe did not call for the pan to be covered with foil and the next time I will cover because some of the potatoes were drier than otheres. I also had to substitute Idaho baking potatoes because they were all I had in the pantry.

Juiciest Hamburgers Ever

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2006
Very good, I didn't have evaporated milk so I just substituted regular milk. I did not add the cayenne pepper because I was afraid my mother and aunt would not like that flavor. The kids said that it was good.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2006
Well, I took the other reviewer's advice and used 2 cups of white sugar and 1 cup of brown sugar and added extra spice. I made 1 plain, 1 chopped walnuts and one chocolate chip. Within two hours, 2 out of 3 disappeared. This bread came out so moist!! It is the best pumpkin bread so far that I have tasted, thank you for sharing this great recipe.

Perfect Baked Potato

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2006
Probably the best baked potato that I ever ate. Of course, my youngest son wasn't crazy about it because the skin was not dry and when I told him that I rubbed seasonings and oil on them he refused to eat it (teenagers)! Little does he know that this recipe is here to stay at our house.

All American Roast Beef

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2006
I made a few changes, first I used a rump roast (sale this week), I followed one reviewer's advice and let the meat get to room temperature. I used all the seasonings as written. I was just about to put it into the oven when my husband came in and said, "I thought that we would order out tonight", I said, "no problem". I wrapped it up to save for the next night. I took it out to reach room temperature and cooked it a little over an hour. My family likes it medium well (no blood showing according to them)and it was absolutely delicious. The recipe will be used quite frequently. Thanks!!
