Juicy Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2010
Wow!!! Of all the chickens I've roasted in my lifetime, I've never had one turn out as perfect as this!! Amazing! And the gravy? I added a chicken boullion cube to the drippings and OMG! Awesome too. Only addition was I sprinkled dried Basil all over the bird, just because I had some to use up and it was fantastic. I never would have thought to use onion powder or the celery stalk, I've always used garlic and I've always been mediocre, this was perfectly wonderful!

Perfect! Just make sure your ground ginger is fresh so it' still has the full flavor it's meant to have.

Stuffed Pork Chops III

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2009
Wonderful idea! I used store bought boxed stuffing, added chopped celery and made it by the package directions in the microwave. Stuffed my pork loin chops and used the directions here to cook them along with chicken broth made from a boullion cube instead of beef broth and it turned out scrumptious! Will be doing this again and again, my family loves it!

Crunchy Caramel Corn

Reviewed: Oct. 12, 2009
Fantastic!! Unbelievably quick and simple to make and absolutely delicious! I didn't have butter and even though it says no substitutes, I used margarine and to prevent scorching I cut the final microwave time to 2 and half minutes and it was perfect. 2 glass bowls, a wisk, a wooden spoon and a cooking sprayed sheet of foil to cool on, the easiest clean up ever. Totally beats the old fashioned way to make crispy caramel corn, I can't wait to try it with real butter. Thank you for this recipe, now back to the microwave to whip up some more!!

Hamburger Soup III

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2009
Great base recipe! I only had 1 can of Italian style stewed tomatoes so I used that and a 15oz can of tomato sauce. I added some garlic and 2 sliced up stalks of celery with the onions and meat and a bit of basil at the end. I only had canned veggies so used them too, a can of peas and a can of corn. Should call it Canned Soup LOL! Mine came out more like a stew but it was absolutely wonderful with toasted garlic bread for sopping up the juice. Thank you for putting up this recipe!

BREAKSTONE'S Sour Cream Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2009
Yum!! I didn't have red potatoes so used russets, shredded cheddar cheese(no Velveeta in the house either) and left out the ham to use for a side dish with my baked ham. It is delicious and my family loved it.

Cheesy Chicken and Rice Casserole

Reviewed: May 9, 2008
Great basic recipe. My changes were to add a can of cream of mushroom soup, a half can of milk, a cup of chopped broccoli, reduced the cheese to one cup and left out the bread cubes. My family salt and peppered to taste at the table and loved it. Hmm.. wonder if these changes just make it a different recipe after all :)

Soft Christmas Cookies

After reading the wide range of opinions on this recipe, I decided to go for it and boy am I glad I did. I didn't make any adjustments at all and these cookies are perfect for frosting, which is what is supposed to be done with them. Delicious!
