Creamy Chicken Lasagna

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2012
Nothing really wrong with this just not a favorite of my family. One child said it was too tomatoey; the other child didn't like that I had shredded the chicken. Husband ate it with not complaints but no words of praise either. I thought it was okay not really something I will be making again.

Texas Caviar I

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
I made this for Christmas with tortilla chips. It was a hit. My sister and sister-in-law both asked for the recipe. I did change a few things. I did not add as much onion as it called for - personal preferrence. I did not put in the jalapenos this time but am sure it would be great with them in.I added a diced avocado which added to the wonderful flavors of the dish. I used our local grocery store's brand of LIGHT Zesty Italian. Be sure to allow time for flavors to blend at least 2 hours, it was even better the next day!

Apple Crisp IV

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
Just wasn't to our taste. The apples were too firm and I cooked longer than the recipe stated, but I did't want to burn the topping which was quite good.

Fabulous Wet Burritos

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2009
Absolutely fabulous! I have made this dish at least 4 times and it is excellent. Make sure to use salsa instead of the tomato soup in the sauce that goes over the burrito.

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2009
Made this for about the fourth time. It is wonderful. This time remembered to grind up the onion soup mix so my picky daughter wouldn't see the bits of onion. Made exactly as written. Used Heinz 57 steak sauce because my husband does like A-1. Excellent. The whole family likes it. I freeze the leftovers with some mashed potatoes for really good lunches for my husband to take to work.

Grandma's Onion Rings (Southern Style)

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2009
Excellent recipe. My family loves it. I do season the flour mixture with some season salt and garlic powder as other suggested. Make sure you are ready to eat as soon as they are cooked. They get soggy fast. (They don't taste bad but the hot and crispy is the best)

Soul Smothered Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2007
Not what we had expected. The sauce was too soupy, and it was on the bland side. Husband said it didn't have the flavor he thought it should have. Children would not eat

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2006
So moist and yummy! I made this as Christmas gifts for my neighbors. Used 6 small foil loaf pans. Used 1/2 cup oil and 1/2 cup applesauce as others suggested; I think that added to the moist quality of the finished product.

Emily's Famous Hash Browns

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2006
YUMMY! My whole family enjoyed this one; even my very picky daughter. I used 3 medium sized Yukon gold potatoes, and only a couple of slices off a whole onion, which gave it plenty of flavor. I salted it once it was done. I added lots of pepper to mine which I love on hash browns. Definately a keeper!

Fettuccine Alfredo V

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2006
Was not to my family's liking. My kids would not even eat it. It had an overpowering parmesan taste. I think it could have had half the amount of cheese. My husband is the cream sauce fan and he said not to make it again. Sorry.

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies I

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2006
These were good but my family prefers chewier, moister oatmeal cookies; these were a little dry for our tastes.
