Quick Classic Gazpacho

Reviewed: Jun. 18, 2006
i was looking for a fast way to make gazpacho and this worked really well! i added another 1/2 cup of water to thin it out a little and threw in 1/2Tbsp of curry powder to spice it up- turned out fantastic!

Spicy Summer Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2006
this made a great (and quick) weeknight meal. as usual i made modifications: i sauteed the peppers with a diced onion and two cloves of minced garlic, then added the wine viegar and olive oil to the pan for a minute, then tossed everything with the warm pasta and added the tomato to the bowl. i doubled the chili powder to make it spicier, and also added cooked chicken pieces to the end to make it a full meal. worked incredibly well, thanks for a great recipe!!!!

Lighter Banana Muffins

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2006
i added a drained 8oz can of crushed pineapple to the banana mix and used Bisquick instead of all-purpose flour. also sprinkled the tops with brown sugar and cinammon before putting them into the oven, and they came out with gorgeous golden tops and the best banana flavor i've ever tasted in a muffin. this is my default banana muffin recipe from now on!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2006
i just poured the batter into a storebought graham cracker crust and baked it (no water bath) for 35 minutes. turned off the oven and left it in there for 3 hours and then pulled it out and froze it for 30 minutes. i had a perfect cheesecake, no cracks at all!! will definitely make this again :)

Aloha Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2006
this is a good recipe that only requires a couple of modifications. use tomato paste instead of ketchup and white wine vinegar instead of cider vinegar, that way the rest of the ingredients arent overwhelmed. i baked the chicken on a bed of onions and red peppers and it was delicious. i served it over rice but i think i'd like it in a wrap better. thanks for a great weeknight dinner!

BLT Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2006
i added peas for some more color, and used bowties instead of seashells.. still came out great!! the dressing itself was a little bland for me so i added fresh ground pepper with the bacon on top. a delicious and easy pasta salad!

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2006
I've made these a few times now and theyve tasted great every time. Try to use the Jello brand pudding if you can (i used a generic brand once and it tasted awful). I also add an extra teaspoon of vanilla to give the batter more flavor. this recipe is definitely worth all the great reviews, make sure to try this one!!!

simple and good. i sprinkled a little bit of ginger on top, along with the cookie, and it tasted great! i might add plain or vanilla yogurt next time to make it a little less grainy, but otherwise the recipe is great!!

Shortbread Cookies II

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2008
These are THE shortbread cookies that you get in christmas tins around the holidays! I halved the recipe and it still worked well, mine did take a little longer to cook (about 13 to 15 minutes)through. I pulled the first batch out at 12 minutes and they cookies were white and tasted like flour :( I put them back in until they turned golden in color and then they were perfect!!
