Shortbread Cookies II

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2008
These are THE shortbread cookies that you get in christmas tins around the holidays! I halved the recipe and it still worked well, mine did take a little longer to cook (about 13 to 15 minutes)through. I pulled the first batch out at 12 minutes and they cookies were white and tasted like flour :( I put them back in until they turned golden in color and then they were perfect!!

I cooked the couscous in chicken stock instead of water to give it more flavour. This was a delicious simple side dish :)

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2006
i just poured the batter into a storebought graham cracker crust and baked it (no water bath) for 35 minutes. turned off the oven and left it in there for 3 hours and then pulled it out and froze it for 30 minutes. i had a perfect cheesecake, no cracks at all!! will definitely make this again :)

Aloha Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2006
this is a good recipe that only requires a couple of modifications. use tomato paste instead of ketchup and white wine vinegar instead of cider vinegar, that way the rest of the ingredients arent overwhelmed. i baked the chicken on a bed of onions and red peppers and it was delicious. i served it over rice but i think i'd like it in a wrap better. thanks for a great weeknight dinner!

Creamy Italian Dressing II

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2006
this was fantastic. i tasted it before i added the sugar and found it a little sweet already so i added more red wine vinegar and took out the sugar. i also threw in 1/2 tsp of red pepper flakes and it worked really well. i tossed it into a pasta salad and it tasted great!!

Grilled Asian Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 20, 2006
i followed the recipe exactly and it turned out really well. it was a bit too salty for me, but that might just be personal preference. ill probably add less soy sauce and more honey next time

BLT Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2006
i added peas for some more color, and used bowties instead of seashells.. still came out great!! the dressing itself was a little bland for me so i added fresh ground pepper with the bacon on top. a delicious and easy pasta salad!

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken

WOW this was good. I doubled the lime juice and added it to the original spice mixture (along with the extra garlic powder) and let the chicken marinate for about 30 min. cooked the chicken in nonfat cooking spray and it still tasted great!! will definitely make this again :)

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2006
I've made these a few times now and theyve tasted great every time. Try to use the Jello brand pudding if you can (i used a generic brand once and it tasted awful). I also add an extra teaspoon of vanilla to give the batter more flavor. this recipe is definitely worth all the great reviews, make sure to try this one!!!

Spicy Summer Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 3, 2006
this made a great (and quick) weeknight meal. as usual i made modifications: i sauteed the peppers with a diced onion and two cloves of minced garlic, then added the wine viegar and olive oil to the pan for a minute, then tossed everything with the warm pasta and added the tomato to the bowl. i doubled the chili powder to make it spicier, and also added cooked chicken pieces to the end to make it a full meal. worked incredibly well, thanks for a great recipe!!!!

Jambalaya II

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2006
this recipe is pure genius. i scaled it down to two (it still made enough for 3), replaced half the green peppers with purple peppers, and doubled the cayenne pepper to make it spicier. i also cooked the rice separately so it wouldnt turn mushy. it tasted amazing, i will definitely make this again!!!!
