Sturdy Whipped Cream Frosting

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2008
This turned out great! It whipped up nice and fast, was fluffy and held up nicely. The only change I made was that instead of almond extract I used lemon extract. You could use any flavor you'd want with great results, Im sure. I will definitely be using this recipe again! :)

Radish Dip

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2008
I was looking for a recipe to use up some radishes I had and this was perfect! I did halve the recipe but kept the amount of radishes the same. I also added a little salt. Its really good and I made the best sandwich with it. Spread this on both sides of the bread, then some turkey, tomato, shredded carrots, and sprouts. Yum!

Canned Spiced Pickled Beets

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2011
This is the first time I've ever made pickled beets and I thought these turned out wonderful :) The spices add a really nice warmth to the recipe and the beets are quite addictive! It's also an easy recipe and a great way to use up a bunch of beets! These would be so great in all kinds of things, like salads and such. So good! Thanks for the recipe!!

Absolute Best Pancake Syrup

Reviewed: May 4, 2008
This is seriously *the best* syrup I have ever had. I made it exactly as writted except that I halved it. I made the syrup before I made the pancakes so it would have time to thicken up a little before serving. It was perfect! I loved it! I will only be making this syrup from now on! *Update: This really reheats well too!

Tilapia Scampi

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2009
This. Was. AWESOME!!! Super easy and super good. Only change I made was that I added a couple of glugs of white wine. Also, I didnt flip it at all and only had to cook mine for about 20 minutes. Super good over some angel hair pasta. Yum!!

Chocolate Coated Peanut Butter Crackers

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2008
I made these last night because I wanted something sweet and fast. These were perfect. I did cheat and used those mini peanut butter sandwich crackers and I also used semi sweet chocolate chips for the coating. So easy and yummy and pretty cute with the mini crackers.

Pineapple Coconut Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2009
This is some really good zucchini bread! I didn't drain the pineapple that great so mine was SUPER moist, a little too moist, but that was my fault. The flavor though, is awesome. I was out of pumpkin pie spice so I just used 1/2 teaspoon each nutmeg and ginger. My kids loved it too :)

Dark Chocolate Bacon Cupcakes

Reviewed: May 25, 2008
This is one of those recipes that you just have to try. So I did and they really are good. I followed the recipe exactly, except that I halved it. I used some coffee with cinnamon in it and it turned out nice. Also, I frosted them with some semi-sweet chocolate ganache. So they were super chocolatey and yummy! Very moist. I do think that next time I will try to really crumble the bacon very finely so there's no visible pieces, or honestly I might just make them without the bacon all together because the actual cupcake is just awesome and I hate frying bacon. But this recipe is fantastic as is.

Dry Ranch Style Seasoning for Dip or Dressing

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2008
I used this today for the "ranch oyster crackers" from here. It worked great. Only changes I made were that I did not use pepper and I used regular sea salt instead of season salt. I will definitely use this again!

Purple Plum Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2010
Very good! I had a couple of pluots that I needed to use up so I made 1/2 of this recipe. The only other changes that I made were that I did not use a pie crust, and I used brown sugar in the topping instead of white. And now i will admit something. I ate this all by myself...within a couple of hours. I'm just keepin' it real...

Egg Drop Soup (Better than Restaurant Quality!)

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2008
This was so easy to make. I had never had egg drop soup and it was good. I didnt use the cornstarch or food coloring and I used green onion instead of chives.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2010
I've been meaning to try this FOREVER! Soooooo good and easy! I used one 14.5 oz can of fire roasted tomatoes with chilies instead of the 2 10 oz cans and I threw the chicken in frozen. Perfect!!!

A Peanutty S'more

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2008
When I saw this recipe I really wanted to try it, but I didnt have any peanut butter cups. So I just spread some natural peanut butter on the graham cracker, topped it with the chocolate, then the toasty marshmallow and...yum! It was really good! I cant wait to try it with the peanut butter cup!

Sugar Glazed Walnuts

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2008
I wanted to make these basically just so I could recreate the McDonalds fruit and walnut salad here at home...these were perfect! And so easy to make! I did reduce the cooking time in the microwave by half, so I only microwaved them for 4 minutes, stirring every minute for the first 2 minutes, then every 30 seconds for the last 2. Then I put them in the oven at 350 for 10 minutes. They turned out perfect! I definitely will be making these all the time!

Ham and Pineapple Pinwheels

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2008
I have to say that I really liked these! I did use regular cream cheese and just put the pineapple on top of it, didnt mix it in. I think using pineapple cream cheese would be too much. And make sure you really drain your pineapple. Very yummy!
