Italian Bread Bowls

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2010
These are perfect! I halved the recipe and made 3 bread bowls. They were the perfect size and tasted great...and so easy too! I will make these every time I make soup now. Tonight it was clam chowder...yum :)

Funnel Cakes IV

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2010
These were awesome!! I've never had a funnel cake before, so I don't have anything to compare these to, but I thought they were great and so did the rest of my family. I will make these again, for sure :)

Turkey Tetrazzini II

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2010
I have never made/eaten any tetrazzini before and this was good and very easy. I followed the recipe exactly, other than halving it. Nice comfort food and a good way to use up leftover turkey.

Cincinnati Chili I

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2009
This was alright. I have never had cincinnati chili before, but the recipe really intrigued me. I made it as written (other than the cloves b/c I don't have any) and I didn't eat it on spaghetti, just by itself topped with onion and cheddar cheese. I think it would be good on cornbread. Anyway, if I make it again, I will follow some of the other reviewers suggestions about boiling the meat and will eat it over spaghetti.

Dutch Babies II

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2009
I really liked this!!! Plus it was pretty fast and easy which is always great :) I did sub evaporated milk for the milk, just because I had an already opened can that I needed to use. I also added just a splash of vanilla. The hubs had his with some strawberry jelly and powdered sugar, but I really liked them with just powdered sugar...yum! :)

Mocha Nut Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2009
This was my first time making fudge and it turned out great! I did double the coffee as other reviewers suggested and I used almonds instead of walnuts. I didn't roll this into logs, but instead spread it into a loaf pan. Turned out perfect :)

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2009
I've never made a ginger cookie before, and I am not one to really eat ginger cookies, but these are AWESOME!!! I did make a few very minor changes...I used about half white whole wheat flour, used 3 teaspoons of ginger and 2 teaspoons on cinnamon and omitted the cloves because I didn't have any. I also used half brown sugar for the sugar and rolled the dough in raw sugar. Sounds like a lot of changes, but not really. These were so good and my husband LOVED them. Thanks for the awesome recipe, I'm sure it will be made often, not ust for Christmas ;)

This was good...I was expecting it to be better for some reason. I guess because all of the great reviews. I might make it again, not sure. Thanks for the recipe!

These were great! I made them for little leftover turkey sanwiches :) The only change I made was to use fresh sweet potato puree

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2009
This was ok...I made it as directed, maybe added a little extra spinach. I agree with another reviewer that it kind of tastes like pasta sauce...

Peanut Butter Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2009
I've been meaning to make a peanut butter pie for just about forever and finally made this one tonight...it was very good!!! I used a chocolate crust, added a bit more peanut butter and did not use the additional cool whip for the top...will definitely make this again :)

Unstuffed Cabbage Dinner

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2009
I really liked this!!! I made a few minor changes...I used turkey instead of beef, omitted the pepper because I hate it, used beef boullion cubes and water instead of broth, and omitted the chopped onion because I was being lazy and I figured the onion soup mix would be sufficient...and it was. This was a hearty, tasty, and very easy meal!! Will make again :)

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2009
This was great! I made the recipe pretty much exactly as written other than prep. I had some leftover roasted chicken, so I used that, and I just sauteed all the veggies in the butter and followed the recipe from there. Definitely a keeper :)
