Chicken Salad

Great recipe I adapt to what I have on hand. For me, the celery and ground ginger are really what make it-all other ingredients are negotiable.

No Bake Cookies V

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2010
I made these for a kid's party once because I had an economy size container of oats. Now even the adults beg for them every time we get together. One of my friends said they were better than his mom's no bakes. Eek, not touching that one with a ten foot pole.

Vickie's Beer Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2010
I used the flour mixture in previous reviews, and it came out great. I added a 1/4 cup of cheddar cheese to the dough and some garlic powder and it came out kind of like Red Lobster biscuits in slice form.

Maple Caramel Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2010
Made with a package of leftover hotdog buns the morning after a party, and it came out amazing!! Leftover whipcream from the mixed drinks went good on top too!! Note, i thought this would be a square pan, but needed a 9x 13-and don't forget to spray the bottom first (sorry hubby)

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2010
This was awesome. I was a little nervous it might be past my skill level, because I always seem to mess up milk on the stove really bad. But, it came out without a hitch.

Split Pea Soup with Rosemary

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2009
Good stuff! I used a ham based bullion instead of chicken stock and dried rosemary since I didn't have fresh. I tried this in the slow cooker, to anyone as dumb as me dried peas are not like dried beans if you put them in the croc use low not high and still only like 4-5 hrs! I ended up with a paste, even after adding a can of evap milk, but still super awesome flavor.

Followed others comments and just threw frozen chicken breast in there and chopped before serving. This has become a staple in our house.

Black Bean Brownies

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2009
My family LOVES these!! I added the chocolate chips and also some heath pieces. If you are getting too much of an "earthy" taste make sure you rinse your beans in a collander until they don't make bubbles any more and don't use the instant coffee.

We made this for halloween, green and festive. Very yummy and pretty cheap as far as punches go.

I added cheddar cheese and some cooked chorizo- made it very hearty we ate it as dinner!! I also used onion and chive whipped cream cheese for some extra flavor and easy blending.
