I grew up around some of the greatest cooks. My grandmother on my mom's side was from France & her sister married a man from Italy. My dad grew up on a farm. So I grew up with the best of all kinds of food! I love cookbooks. There are at least 500 in my collection along with tons of clipped & downloaded recipes! I like to cook all kinds of stuff! I'm game to try just about anything! I don't know that we had "traditions" but we always had great spreads at the holidays. Always gave thanks for all our blessings. Time around the dinning table was and is wonderful. My husband & I have won a couple of contests for appetizers. That was fun! My mom & I were making a muffin recipe that had different substitutions you could add, the problem was we didn't omit one thing before we add others! We ended up with muffins that even the garbage disposer couldn't grind up! I think we discovered a new paving material! We laughed about that for years! Not that tragic!!!
