Lemon Drop Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2009
Really nice for a change of pace of birthday cakes. I made this for a coworkers birthday and it was demolished. I will say it was not one of my prettiest cakes, it gets a bit sticky and dense, but made up for its looks with its taste! Betty Crocker now makes gluten free cake mixes, so I will still be able to enjoy this now that I am gluten free!

I made this for my In-Law's and they loved it. I can't eat it without major modifications so I haven't tried it yet, but it got eaten quick with no leftovers!!

Pizza Pasta

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2009
I'm gluten free and dairy free so my changes are gluten free pasta and no shredded cheese. I use a vegan "Parmesan" in place of the cheese. I love this recipe, be sure to crisp the pepperoni first, and this is even good cold the next day, just like pizza!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

if you use beer, make sure you actually enjoy the taste of the beer you use, because it is still quite noticeable in the end product. Good base recipe, minus the beer in my opinion

BBQ Pork for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2008
This is soooooo good! I rubbed some garlic , salt and pepper on a pork shoulder and tossed it into the crock pot with a beef bouillon cube and some water. It melts in your mouth! I used "Sweet Baby Ray's" BBQ sauce.

I have been missing biscuits and gravy since learning of a dairy allergy. No more! I make this with unsweetened soymilk and it is amazing!

Best Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2006
These are great, I make them a bit different tho, no need for the frosting. I use whole wheat pastry flour, a lunchbox type cup of organic applesauce in place of butter, and the sugar I use half sucanat, half honey. 25 minutes and they are amazing! Sometimes I throw in a handful of vegan chocolate chips, its a dairy free delight!
