Tomato Bisque II

I can't say that I followed the recipe to a "T" because I didn't have it infront of me when making the soup... but it was a great basis for my soup. I made the roux and added about a cup of beef broth (didn't have bouillon). Then I added 1 can tomato sauce, 1 can diced fire roasted tomatoes and 1 can pureed fire roasted tomatoes. I used half and half instead of milk and added worchestershire, red pepper flakes and cayenne pepper to the original recipe. Excellent easy supper with grilled ham and cheese sandwiches. My bf wants me to add italian sausage next time, so we'll see. Thank you very much!

Smooth Sweet Tea

Nice and clear. Used Splenda 50/50 blend to reduce calories and it worked great still. Will make it with the baking soda from now on!

Sangria! Sangria!

I've used this recipe several times over the past few years, but I realized this last time I've never rated it! It's so good I never have enough! For our wedding reception/housewarming, I made 4 batches and filled our pretty glass bev dispenser... it was gone in an hour flat!! Make WAYYY more than you think you'll need, I'm planning on 8 batches for our next party.

Chili-Lime Chicken Kabobs

The chicken was really tender! I added a chopped whole jalapeno to the marinade and used yellow and zucchini squash and red and green bells and red onion as the veggies.

Wow! I made my own version of this last night and when I check the website today this is the recipe on the home page! Coincidence? I think not! This is a great recipe, try it with spanish rice and black beans :) The picky Bf loves this

Sweet Banana Bread

I can't leave well enough alone, so I made several changes right off the bat: I had instant pudding, so used that, only had 2/3 cup of smashed banana, so substituted PB for the remainder of the banana. I replaced 3/4 cup of regular flour for WW flour and used splenda 50/50 blend. Because of the WW flour, I had to add extra milk. It turned out really good, and I'm sorry I'm not rating the original recipe, but hope that someone can use some of my changes. It's a great base recipe. Be creative people!

Great flavor. I didn't add the additional peanut oil and I cooked down the marinade to make a glaze as others suggested. Make sure you oil your grill grates so it doesn't stick!

Fish Tacos with Honey-Cumin Cilantro Slaw and Chipotle Mayo

The slaw is worth it. So good. That was the only thing I followed to a T so I can't very well rate everything else. Try the slaw! Oh, and if you read the description, it says the slaw is dressed with the honey-cumin sauce and the tilapia is topped with the mayo??

perfect. had everything on hand and followed the recipe exactly (which is rare for me!). I'm going to make enough to fill my 6 oz mason jar to store for future use. (I figure about 2 tbs per pound of meat)

Crab Salad

We doubled this recipe and served it as one of our cocktail wedding reception / housewarming party appetizers. It went over really well and looked great in a pedestal bowl on a platter of crackers. Sprinkled with chopped green onion to dress it up a bit. (Almost forgot! We used 1/2 real crab meat and 1/2 fake and it was still good and cost less!)

Excellent, tasty and thick. It was the perfect amount to fill 1 large mason jar so I went ahead and canned it. I used it to mop on baby back ribs that I had also used CCRyder's dry rub found on this website.

Deb's Cranchick Salad

Man, this is the best chicken salad I have ever made! Thank you so much for sharing! I didn't have any balsamic vinegar (which could have made this even better!) so I substituted red wine vinegar and about 1/2 tsp of sugar. YUM! UPDATE: I made this again and used the balsalmic vinegar and it did turn a funny color. It tasted awesome, but for better presentation I think I'll try finding the white balsalmic other reviews mentioned.

Slow Cooker Apple Butter

I'd never had apple butter before so this was a very pleasant surprise. It was sooo easy! I used the splenda blend brown sugar and cut the entire amount of added sugar. It was still plenty sweet and delicious. Also, since I've never had apple butter, I wasn't sure, is it supposed to be completely smooth or not? Mine wasn't so I put it in the blender before canning it up. I'm having it this morning over yogurt. Thank you!!!
