Jimmy Dean Sausage Breakfast Pizza

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2010
YUMMY! We made these in a jelly roll pan instead of a pizza pan. I didn't add any of the bell peppers because unfortunately I'm the only one that loves them. We didn't have a single crumb left over. The eggs did have a hard time setting. When the crust was done the eggs were still alittle runny. I didn't want to overcook the crust so I ended up just putting the pizza in the microwave for about 20 seconds. Very good and hardy.

Chocolate Caramel Nut Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2005
Took it to a family function and it was the only salad that was completely gone! I definately added more apples and grapes and used poppables snickers. I'm taking it to a graduation party tomorrow. Fun and people love to talk about it trying to figure it out.

Texas Sheet Cake V

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2012
Yep! This one's a winner...exactly what I was looking for, not a cake not a brownie! Followed the recipe as written...made the frosting about 10 minutes before the cake was done and it was perfect timing. I thought the frosting was just as heavenly as the cake. We refer to this as picnic cake...hmmmm

Easy Ham and Cheese Appetizer Sandwiches

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2008
Easy is right! My husband said he was surprised at how much flavor these little sammies had. We had them at our super bowl party and kids and adults gulped them down quick. I did use the hawaiian sweet rolls and on half put the butter mixture on top, and the other half put it on the bottom. I couldn't tell a difference (some others had said on the bottom was too soggy) These will be my specialty at all events! Thanks

Turkey Delight

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2006
Super easy after Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner. My kids and hubby ate it up. No leftovers! I gave it 5 stars for ease of preparation and list of ingredients was minimal. On flavor I would have given it a 4. This one is going in the recipe box. Thanks

Mom's Mozzarella Chicken for Drew

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2005
Super easy and I had all the ingredients on hand! I cooked it in the chicken broth instead of all the oil. Omitted the onion because I didn't feel like chopping one up and it tasted great! Oh I did season the breasts with season salt and served it over whole wheat spaghetti. Kids ate it up and hubby gave it a 4.

Baked Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2005
So versatile and yummy. I made a herb butter with rosemary, garlic salt, and paprika and placed it between the skin and the breast of the chicken. Rubbed down the skin with a little more butter and s&p. Cooked it to the directions and it turned out terrific. Be sure to make gravy with the drippings! Just as good as the chicken itself.

Sausage Pasta

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2011
Prepared dish exactly as stated. I would put this into my "4 times a year" category. Super quick and I had all the ingredients on hand. I would probably like a little more tomato so next time I'll add another can. Good mid week dinner option!

Old Fashioned Coconut Cream Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2010
Huge Coconut Cream Pie lovers here and this was yummy! I forgot to bake the crust prior to filling the shell but didn't realize this until hours later...oops I had to transfer the filling to a baked shell which was fine but probably would have been best if I hadn't made this mistake. Kept recipe as is but I did add a few drops of coconut flavoring. It's going on my Thanksgiving pie list!

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2008
Had it at our super bowl party and the adults loved it! I especially liked it with the chicken biscuit crackers. It was to spicy for the kids but oh well that just means more for the adults! I used shredded chicken breasts that I had cooked in the oven on 350 for about 20 minutes. I just don't like the canned stuff. I also used half ranch and half blue cheese, not a morsel left....I think someone licked the bowl.

Classic Waffles

Reviewed: Dec. 2, 2007
finally a waffel recipe that is exactly what I am looking for....crisp yet soft. I too sifted the dry ingredients. It helped a ton to put the waffles on a paper towel, they stayed crisp like waffels should be! Thanks everyone for all the helpful hints!

Barbie's Tuna Salad

Reviewed: May 23, 2007
I think the measurements are off and so our experience with this was way to over powering! We added two cans of tuna and the mayo was still way too much. The curry was a nice added flavor, but again I felt there wasn't a good blend of flavors.I'm sure if I tweeked things a bit and added some crunchy pickles and almonds this recipe would be great, will have to try again with my own experimenting. As the recipe stands now, not my favorite!

Famous Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2005
I have to give this 5 stars because it really is so versatile! I didn't have enough crackers so I added about 1/3 of a cup of parmesan cheese and a little sprinkle of salad seasoning from McCormick to what crackers I did have, which was probably about 1/2 cup. Turned out Heavenly! I think when I do it again next week I will try to cut back on the butter! Every one loved it, my kids said it was like eating chicken nuggets. Thanks for the recipe!

Donna's Cheesy Quiche

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2005
Maybe if I would have followed the recipe exactly it would have warranted a 5 star rating. I did like so many of the others suggested and added sour cream instead of heavy cream and added an extra egg. It really was good. I also added some ham and when I do it again, I will cut the onion in half. It took over an hour to cook probably due to the extra egg. I really didn't mind because I really enjoyed it and hubby liked it too.

Pat's Baked Beans

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2010
These beans had good flavor but were not the hit of the party, in fact I still have a good portion left over in my fridge. I followed the recipe exactly as written. My husband commented that he liked my usual beans better. Oh well, gotta break out of the norm sometimes. They are getting rave reviews, so try for yourself!
