Crescent Dogs

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2010
Easy and good tasting. They lasted about 10 minutes. No bun worked out great - the crescent roll is much lighter than bread.

Zucchini Ranch Meatloaf

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2010
I made this exactly as written. Let me start by saying I am not a meatloaf fan, but my guys requested it, and I knew I had to find something that wasn't your standard fare. This recipe is definitely a keeper with fantastic flavor, moist and plenty of leftovers. I made one big loaf and cooked for an hour and 10 minutes just to make sure it was cooked thru.

Extra Special Banana Pudding

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2010
The toasted coconut mix was phenomenal. I will try this "crust" with my baked banana pudding recipe instead of vanilla wafers. Thanks for this amazing recipe.

Could put manwich out of business!! Very tasty - added about 1/2 tsp of horseradish just to satisfy my tastebuds.

California Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2010
Good base recipe- i actually make something quite like this with a sauce made from chicken broth and cream cheese baked as a casserole. My only modification was using white wine as opposed to milk. I love white wine in sauce and it turned out quite good. Really only makes 4 servings and would best be served with a spinach salad.

Bratwurst Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2010
Delicious - the combination of veggies, legumes, spices and brats makes a meal the whole family can enjoy. I substituted one of the cans of great northern beans with a can of dark red kidney beans for some extra color.

Sesame Shrimp Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2010
Delicious .. my kids were a little sensitive to the amount of red pepper, but it wasn't so spicy that they didn't eat it. Made about 6 family size servings.

Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2010
I always wondered what the secret to good shepherds pie was... Now I know it is the gravy. This was spectacular. The only item I changed was using 2 cups frozen mixed veggies instead of the mashed carrots. It's a keeper.

Loved this... Added a can of green chiles with the beans then topped with shredded cheddar after removing from oven; served with yellow rice, sour cream and jalapenos. YUM

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2010
Best pork chops I've ever eaten. Very tender but not falling apart. Used more than 2 eggs though. The sauce was fantastic served with wide noodles.

Slow Cooker Spicy Black-Eyed Peas

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2010
Big hit served with white rice. I will try with ham hocks next time to get a bit more of the salty ham flavor.

Red Beans and Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2010
I used a can of diced tomatoes with green chiles. I think this would have been quite bland otherwise. With the added spice in the tomatoes this turned out to be very flavorful and everyone enjoyed and finished their servings. I will definitely make this again.

Creamy Banana Pudding

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2009
Very easy and tasty. Nice alternative to baked banana pudding. Just a note, add sugar a tablespoon at a time to the whipping cream as needed to thicken.

Cornbread and Sausage Stuffing

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2009
I am not a stuffing person or so I thought. I am just not a white bread stuffing person. The cornbread texture was spectacular. I used hot sausage as someone suggested and the flavor added a lot of zing. Ended up using 3 cups broth to make more moist.

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
This was absolutely the best quick soup I've ever made. I used one boullion cube in place of the granules. Very tasty served with crusty buttered bread.
