Chicken Spaghetti Salad

Reviewed: May 9, 2011
This was delicious! I used rotini pasta instead of spaghetti. The sauce was surprisingly fresh tasting. I didn't have gingerroot, so used a sprinkling of powdered ginger instead. Nice Asian flair. Easy and delicious!

Great Easy Waffles

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2009
I've tried so many waffle recipes and thought many of them were really good, but this one- WOW! These are the yummiest waffles I've EVER had-soft, but slightly crunchy, super fluffy, and with just the right amount of sweetness. I didn't add the lemon zest (no lemons) and thought I had messed it up, as I ran out of milk and had to leave everything to run to the store. But they still came out perfect. You have to try these!

Quick and Easy Chicken and Rice

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2009
So I'll admit that the oozing cheese on top of the casserole scared me a bit- not so pretty, BUT... this was the best casserole I've ever made. Yummy... can't get enough. Only changes I made was in using Jasmine rice and steamed broccoli in place of mushrooms. You HAVE to try this!

Grandma Johnson's Scones

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2006
I have used this recipe so many times with many variations and they always come out perfectly. I really like using craisins and white chocolate chips. Another one to try: 1 cup frozen blueberries (don't rinse) added last and gently combined into the dough. These can be sprinkled with white sugar before baking or drizzle this lemon glaze over while still warm: 1 1/3 c powdered sugar, 2 TB fresh lemon juice, 1/3 zested lemon, 1TB veg . oil, 1TB water. Has a great flavor!

Kitchen Sink Cookies

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2006
These cookies are amazing and so quick to make! I excluded the vanilla chips and nuts (didn't have any on hand) and they were still great. Next time, I will add the nuts for added texture and flavor. These remind me of a cowboy cookie, but better. You have to try this recipe.

Ultimate Double Chocolate Cookies

This is an incredible cookie... great texture and taste! I planned to try one and give the rest to friends; I ate three before they cooled. Even my four year old likes them, and he hates chocolate. YUM!!!

French Beef Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2005
I have tried many recipes from this site and most have been great, but this is the first I've rated. I followed the advice of others and added seasonings to the flour (Tony's and garlic powder), browned 2 lbs of meat with 1/2 onion, then deglazed the pan with about 1/3 cup dry red wine. I then put it all in a crockpot, added an extra can of broth, used 4 lbs of red potatoes, a tbsp of Worchestershire sauce, and the 2 tbsp of mustard, as called for in the recipe. I let it cook on high for 6 hrs, but the potatoes were not quite done and it smelled a little off. But, after adding the mustard and allowing to cook on low for a few more hours, it was perfect. Gravy was smooth and had complex flavor. It was even better the next day. Got rave reviews... husband said it was the BEST stew he'd ever had. And I have to agree!! YUM!!!
