Sam's Famous Carrot Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2012
This is by far the best carrot cake I have ever tasted. I did NOT change anything. It is so moist and so delicious. I'm sitting here with my second piece and still can't believe how much flavor it has. I made a cream cheese frosting but it really is wonderful without it.

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2011
This recipe is so simple and so good. I did add 1 tsp of vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. I bought Reese's mini peanut butter cup that are already unwrapped, that I put in the freezer for about 15 minute before placing on the cookie. I used a tablespoon scoop of dough for each ball. Definitely will be making these again. I got exactly 40 cookies.

Simple Turkey Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2011
This chili is very good. I ground up the leftover turkey from Thanksgiving. I fried it in the frying pan till it started to brown and than added the onions and garlic. It probably had more than a one pound of turke. I left the beans whole only because that is my preference. As far as the flavor goes, if all the ingredients were added in the correct amount, it is perfect. I totally disagree with those who said it was bland...no way. It is perfectly seasoned. I read some of the negative responses and had to laugh because one person gave it a one star but she said she omitted the chili powder. You can't make chili without chili powder. This is a 5 star keeper.

Chocolate Coconut Bars

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2011
These are so good. I used a little more graham cracker crumbs, a 14oz can of condensed milk, the coconut and chips. I then chopped some roasted pecans and sprinkled them over the top. I used parchment paper to press it all down into the pan. I baked them for 25 minutes, let them cool and they were delicious. I'll be making more of these very soon.

White Chocolate Chunk Pecan Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2010
I doubled the recipe to get 36 cookies. The only exception was instead of 1 cup (doubled)of white chocolate chips, I used 1 1/2 cups of Ghirardelli white chocolate chips. These cookies are terrific. They are so fast and easy to make...If I could give it more stars I would. Someone mentioned they were fragile cookies, I didn't find them to be at all. I let them cool about 3 minutes on the cookie sheet then transferred them to the cookie rack...they are even great warm is you can't wait for them to cool. Will definitely be making these many more times.

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2009
THE BEST I HAVE EVER HAD I did triple the recipe and followed others with 1 cup white sugar, 1 cup brown sugar, and 1 cup confectioners sugar. This has the best peanut butter flavored cookie I have ever eaten. I also topped them with chocolate chips when they came out of the oven. We were eating them before they even cooled.....soooo good

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: May 2, 2008
I just tasted the finish results and it is amazing. This is THE BEST chili I have ever eaten. I'm taking it to Cinco De Mayo Party tomorrow and I know it is going to be a big hit. I'm printing up copies of your recipe because I know people are going to ask me for it.

Irresistible Irish Soda Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2005
Made one loaf yesterday, tasted it today, and I just had to make two more loaves to hand out for St Patrick's Day. I added one cup of golden raisins to the recipe. This is definitely moist. The best I have ever had.
