Pan Fried Halibut Steak with Light Green Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 16, 2008
Great recipe! I omitted lemon due to allergies. Halibut is expensive and not readily available everywhere. Try Cod if you are from New England. (Buy the previosly frozen. Cod can be prone to worms and if frozen the worms leave the fish flesh as it freezes.) Gross but true! When the men come in from fishing,k I always freeze the catch of the day for this reason.

Great cookies! Much better than my old greasy flat ones! I added walnuts other than that I followed to the letter. I will add butterscotch chips next time.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2008
This sauce is great and does not seperate when reheated. I have tried many many sauces to find this keeper. I only made half for 1 lb of pasta. I added some chopped fresh baby spinach (3 0z for half recipe) to the sauce after I removed it from the heat and topped the dish with a fresh chopped tomato! YUMMY. I will also use this for my cheese ravioli topped with steamed chopped butternut squash and toasted pine nuts. nuts!

If I could give this 6 stars I would. I refridgerated the mix for an hour before making into balls and it was a dream to work with. My husband and son are not big lemon fans and they LOVED them.

Cuban Ropa Vieja

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2008
Great, simple, another crock pot recipe keeper! I omitted the peppers (they don't sit well with my husband or I anymore). I served it over brown rice......YUMMY! It would also be great on a bulky roll. My picky husband like it too. Too watery for a tortilla.

Beets and Greens

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2008
I had never had beet greens before and I loved them in this recipe! I used red onion and it looked so nice I will serve it to guests. Tastes like strong spinach. I am thinking of all of the beet greens I have waisted before......and all of the nutrients that went right in the trash!

Coffeebar Chai

Reviewed: May 3, 2008
This chai is great. I love the Starbucks chai, but it doesn't come in decaf. I used decaf tea bags and added one anise star to the original recipe. YUM! My chai crazy neighbor loved it too.

I made this and froze it in Zip locks ahead of time for a wedding shower. It was amazing! I defrosted in the fridge and simple snipped the corner of the bag and squeezed into crepes and covered with fresh strawberries and whip cream! What a hit!
