Guinness® Corned Beef

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2005
This was SCRUMPTIOUS, but took about five hours to get tender; enough time to make twice the amount of carrots, new potatoes, chunked onions, and cabbage on top.

Bangers and Mash

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2005
Served to my English friends and the only recommendations they had were to offer BH Steak Sauce and Mushy Peas with it. They loved it and thought it was "Loverly".

Angel Hair Pasta with Garlic Shrimp and Broccoli

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2005
EXCELLENT!!! Thanx Robbie! The second time around (it was so good the first time)Doubled the sauce, dumped the broccoli (not a huge fan), decreased the pesto, (rather strong) and used the left-over sauce with pasta. A great seafood side dish

Rump Roast Au Jus

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2005
Using others' suggestions I chunked an onion, Pierced the roast W/garlic cloves, subbed consomme for water, added 1/2 cup red wine, used only 1 tsp. pepper, 2 tsp. paprika and 1 tsp. chili powder, but I must have had a bad cut of roast;Itwas still not tender although the taste made it worth the chewing.

Fresh Asparagus and Chicken Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2005
A "NICE" blend of flavors, but somewhat bland. I'll sprinkle some seasoned salt next time. That should boost it past a 4.

Old Fashioned Chicken Pot Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2005
My company gave it a 5+, but I gave it a 4 because I used both a 1/4 tsp. of thyme and Poultry seasoning as another rater advised.I'd cut them both in half next time. Also used frozen veggies and Cream of celery soup W/a Diced, al dente potato.Next time (and there will be a next time) I'll add some canned baby limas. I think this would raise it just another notch.Yummy, yummee!
