About this Cook
I am thirteen and I adore baking. I am a type 1 diabetic but that doesn't stop me from cookin with sweets!
My favorite things to cook
I love baking cakes, baking muffins, baking cookies, but I also love cooking dinners. I love pasta so we have pasta. A lot.
My cooking tragedies
One time I was melting butter in a pot and I forgot to put the butter in the pot. I turned to pot on high (by accident) and I smelled a funky smell. I looked at the pot and there was nothing in it. There was a silvery substance from the pot melting. I lifted the pot off the stove to see where it was coming from and the whole bottom of the pot fell onto the floor. Yep. And remember this.... I had just started learning how to cook.

Original Nestle(R) Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies
This is probably my favorite cookie recipe of all time. I usually add 1/2 cup coconut and that make them nice and soft. I also take 3/4 cup oats and grind them. They make the cookies have a slightly chewy techture which I crave! I make them for my parents who always give me complements. I would recommend this recipe for any one who has never tried it. Yummmm!

Taco Soup II
I absolutely love taco soup and this recipe just makes my old recipe taste 100% better. I didn't have Lima beans or pinto beans so I used kidney and black beans. I usually ground the beef and onion in a non stick skillet and while that is cooking, I combine the rest of the ingredients in a 5 qt. pot (I double the recipe). When the beef is done, I add it to the bean mixture and let it simmer 35-40 minutes. That's just how and do it and my parents (and sibilings) love it. We ALWAYS top it with sour cream, cheddar cheese, and tortilla chips. Thanks for the wonderful recipe, Julie ~ML2001

Chicken Pot Pie IX
I loved this recipe. I read the reviews after I put the potpie on the oven and was shocked to see that do many people had troubles with the recipe and made modifications. I did the recipe just as it said and it turned out perfect. One thing I should have done was place a cookie sheet under the potpies to catch the leaking. Oh well :)
