Bacon-y Bok Choy

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2010
Pretty good since this was my first time cooking Bok Choy. I used baby bok choy. My family really liked it. I think it needed something to give it more depth. Maybe a bit of white wine or oyster sauce.

Sweet, Sticky and Spicy Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2009
I made this yesterday and my whole family LOVED it. It is very rare everyone likes the same thing. It tastes just like authentic Chinese chicken. I only put in one Tbls. hot sauce. I didn't think my kids would like it so spicy. I opted to use an immersion blender to mix the ingredients together and then marinated the chicken for a few hours. Then I put the it all into an 8X8 Pyrex oven dish and baked for 45 minutes. Also, I made sure to pound out the chicken beforehand so it would be tender. Tastes great with plain rice and broccoli. Definitely a keeper.

Bread Machine Bagels

Excellent bagels. The holes filled in on mine but still came out delicious. Crispy outside, chewy inside. This is my first time attempting bagels but this is the only recipe I need.

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
I made 2 of these. One in my pressure cooker and one in the oven. They both came out perfect. The only advice I would give is if you are cooking it in a pressure cooker is cook it for 35 minutes, take it off the burner and let the pressure cool down naturally. I would say about 30 min. It will look a bit pale on top. Put it in the fridge for 3-4 hours to firm up. I made the mistake of cooling it on the counter for an hour and then digging in. It was very loose in the middle and oozed out. It is very important to refrigerate it first.

Light and Fresh Dressing

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2006
I just made this dressing for supper and it is mmm, mmm, good. I scaled the recipe down to fit my dressing bottle. I must have used half the bottle myself. I used it with my salad and as a sauce for my steak. This is a definite keeper!

Honey Of An Oatmeal Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2006
This is my favorite bread to make. It is also foolproof. You can truly put all the ingredients in your bread machine and walk away. No adding anything. Most other breads I need to check to make sure it doesn't need more flour or liquids. I have gotten rave reviews whenever I make it. The taste can't be beat. I can't go to my in-laws without bringing a loaf.

Davy's Gravy

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2004
This is a FANTASTIC recipe. It's even better the next day, if you can keep any that long. I made a few adjustments to suit my taste. I added 1/4 cup of Madeira wine and used 1 clove of fresh garlic instead of powder added while the meat and onions were cooking. I din't have cream of celery soup so I omitted it. I used a 16 oz. ready to eat cream of mushroom. It still came out great. This is a definite keeper!!

Easy Biscuit Mixture

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2002
This is a great recipe. I have a child with a milk allergy and this is the first recipe I found that didn't call for non-fat dry milk. It works just as well as the store bought mix. I have a foodsaver vacuum sealer and put the mix in the canisters for better shelf life. I figured I saved about seventy cents per 40 oz. of homemade compared to the namebrand. Every little bit helps. Thanks for this wonderful recipe.

These were good. This didn't thicken up very well for me though. I think I would also put more horseradish in next time. I will make these again with a few "tweeks".

French Bread Rolls to Die For

These were okay but not "to die for" as stated in the title. They got stale awfully fast even though I wrapped them as soon as they were cool. Nothing special.

Amish White Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2002
Excellent bread. My kids would eat the whole loaf right out of the oven if I let them. I use my dough cycle and then put it in the oven. It tastes even better than when baked in the bread machine. Like that could even be possible?! YUM YUM!

I really like this as a baking sauce for chicken and have even used it as a dipping sauce for sweet bell peppers and cucumbers. I love it's versatility. I always keep it in the fridge for the many uses it has. Thanks for sharing this one.
