Bill's Sausage Gravy

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2007
I Loooove sausage gravy, and I have to say this is a pretty good recipe, I added some sage and a couple of healthy dashes of fried chicken seasoning. it helped tremendously. I do beleive that the success of this recipes relies heavily on the sausage used.

Awesome Honey Pecan Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2006
really REALLY good. I used pork chops and pounded them thin with a jagged meat tenderizer. I did not have a lot of pan drippings so i added some veggie stock (wouldve used chicken if I had it) and a little maple syrup with a dash of cayenne, a healthy couple of shakes of onion powder (didnt have any onions on hand) and a dash of sage, I cooked that down before adding the honey and nuts, then I just let that reduce a bit, although I wished I hadnt because my husband and I could have drank that sauce! will definately make again.

Pecan Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2005
This was really good. I am experimenting with pecan pie recipes because my husband loves them, I have not found the perfect one yet, but so far this one is the best I have made. I wish I had reduced cooking time slightly.

Scalloped Corn and Broccoli

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2005
this was good, but just okay. I ommited the sugar completely like some had suggested and used fresh brocc that I had blanched and shocked prior to cooking. I wish I had added some sugar, maybe half of what the recipe calls for. It felt like it should have been slightly sweet, like a corn pudding, but was not because I had left out the sugar. not sure if I will try this again.

Heavenly Potatoes and Ham

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2005
I followed a prev reviewers advice and used cream of celery...I would highly recommend that substitution. also agree that it makes a TON, wished I had sliced the potatoes instead of quartering, but very good recipe. will make again.

Four Layer Hamburger and Macaroni Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2005
My husband would give this five stars, he loved it. He actually said it was the best thing hes ever eaten. I do agree it was very tasty. Just also fattening, i used LF sour cream, and very lean meat, but still felt I was eating junk food. But it was delicious.

Shredded Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2005
this is really good, my husband loved it. I used reg onion and added them a little too early so they browned a bit with the butter, next time I will use the green onion and not add it so soon. very good recipe

Easy and Delicious Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2005
I did not love this. I agree with other reviewers that it had a funny taste. I halved the cream cheese, added chives, red pepper flakes and waterchestnuts, served it over rice with green beans on top and toasted almonds sprinkled over the green beans (if this sounds weird, pardon me Im pregnant). I have to be honest though, my husband loved it.
