Joy's Green Banana Salad

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2008
I followed the instructions as written, but this was pretty terrible. The flavors did not meld and though I enjoyed the banana, the coupling with seafood and bacon was strange and unappetizing.

Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2007
Incredibly delicious and so simple to make. I used blueberry pie filling instead of canned peaches and still turned out great. I also topped with Cool Whip, which melted the minute it hit the cobbler...amazing!!! I can't wait to play more with this recipe. One thing...be sure to watch the cobbler as it's baking as mine was nearly burnt before the 20 minute mark.

BBQ Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2007
I followed the recipe exactly and found it tasted like baked bean cake. The baked topping w/ meat & bean filling did not work for me.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: May 13, 2007
This recipe was really delicious and easy. I used reduced fat cream cheese and fat free half & half (one cup instead of two). The sauce turned out perfectly. I also added cooked ground chicken for some protein and it was great!

This was delicious. Next time I'll try adding some fruit to the mixture, like chopped pineapple.

This was fairly bland. Not unpleasant, just nothing special. Don't think I'll make it again.

Seriously delicious. A bit labor intensive, but well worth the elbow grease. I'll make this for years to come.

Tender Beef Brisket

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2007
I tried this recipe because it's very similar to my mother's brisket recipe (minus the horseradish and slow cooking method). At first, the brisket smelled heavily of horseradish, but when done, tasted wonderful and was very tender.

Matzo Apple Kugel

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2007
This is a very similar recipe to one my mother makes. However, it is possible to find kosher for passover wide noodles and substitute for the matzah for a more "real" kugel texture and taste. Either way, a variation of this recipe is served at our seder every year, and always goes over very well.

Spinach with Chickpeas and Fresh Dill

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2007
This recipe is indeed kosher for Passover according to Sephardic traditions, which allows beans and legumes to be eaten. Not to mention it is delicious!

Marinated Baked Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2007
The sauce was tasty, but 1 hour is way too long to bake. The chopes turned out dry and rubbery. I'll try this again at 15 minutes on each side.
