Well, so I must first tell you a funny story. I woke up this morning running through the list of things I had to get done today in my head, so I sprang up and got started with getting the kids ready for the day and then I started a pot of water boiling on the stove for the noodles for lasagna… MORE

About this Cook
I am a stay at home mom with 2 children and 1 on the way. A wonderful husband.
My favorite things to cook
Any sort of dessert or anything new.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Thanksgiving is huge in our family and I continue the tradition in my own home by always making more food then we need and making Thanksgiving dinner more then once a year.
My cooking triumphs
I will go with my list of requested dishes. #1 most often requested is my Turkey, next would be my cookies then my bread pudding, the my banana bread.
My cooking tragedies
Well, I am sad to admit that I can NOT make Jello for some reason it eludes me. Also, I can not make Angel food cake. I try every year to make both of these but it never works out.

Corn and Black Bean Salad
This was really good, a little messy but really good. The messy part is probably my own fault though because I don't think I drained the black beans well enough. However it made really cute pictures of my 10 month old and he loved it.

Ranch Oyster Crackers
These were very easy and very good, we took them on an eight hour drive with 4 children and they were a hit. Saved us from spending a ton of money at a gas stations.

Sturdy Whipped Cream Frosting
This worked out fantastic for me. I doubled the recipe and added 2 packages of grape kool-aid and the flavor was wonderful and it was perfectly sturdy even in 98 degrees. I will be using this recipe again and again.
