Vienna Schnitzel

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2005
DO NOT precook your chicken. Slice your chicken breast and using a kitchen mallet pound the meat out thin. Try sprinkling meat with garlic salt and paprika prior to breading it. My husband is Hungarian where Schnitzel is a very popular. You can use pork, veal or chicken. We serve this with whipped potatoes, cucumber salad, pickled red peppers or dill pickles. Yum!

Amazing Ribs

Reviewed: Jul. 11, 2005
The ribs were tender but none of my guests including myself liked the sauce. I think it was the porter. I didn't like the taste of it in the sauce. Very strong.

Indian Style Basmati Rice

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2005
I'm ashamed to admit that this was my first attempt at cooking Basmati. It smelled soooo good when it was cooking. It was wonderful. I made this with Butter Chicken. A first also. My husband came home asking what smelled so great. Thank You. It made me look and feel like a real cook!

Chicken Makhani (Indian Butter Chicken)

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2005
It was good. I prepared this in the SLOWCOOKER. I doubled the recipe. I also took the suggestion of another member and added a pinch of fennel seed, which was a nice touch. I used canned tomatoes because I like the texture and one or two tablespoons of honey. I served this with "Indian style rice" which can also be found on this site. It was very good and everone enjoyed it. But...there was something missing. It didn't taste exactly like the butter chicken I've had. But very close. As the previous member said "Not Knock Your Socks Off"

Parsley Potatoes

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2005
I first had these at my husband's Aunts home. They're Hungarian and eat these with almost everything. Including BBQ. YUM. I would like to suggest adding a bit of salt. I also like to brown the potatoes a bit.

I made this with the Basil which gave it very Thai flavour, also I used canned peached packed in fruit juice. I served this with "LIME CHICKEN SOFT TACO" which can be found on this site. The combo of flavours was wonderful. It's a great way to impress your friends. My niece and daughter ( 5 and 3) loved this! It makes me think of good times with friends on the summer patio. Fresh, sweet with a kick! Thanks for sharing. Don't forget the wine.

These have a wonderful flavour! I like a bit more heat so I made the "SPICY MANGO SALSA" found on this site as well. The combo of flavour is amazing! I wouldn't make this without it. It had a bit is a Thai flavour when eaten together. My niece and daughter ( 5 and 3) loved it, even with the salsa! Thanks for sharing! Yum

Bacon Chicken I

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2005
We loved this easy chicken dish! My sister couldn't believe how great this little recipe was. I doubled this recipe, added an onion, precooked my bacon a wee bit, and seasoned my chicken with a little garlic salt and pepper. The chicken was so moist! Yummy! Yummy! Will make it again! Thanks for sharing.

Chicken Breasts Pierre

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2005
My family loved this recipe! I prepared this in my SLOWCOOKER browning the chicken first. (I did cut the chicken breasts in strips) I ran out of mustard powder so I used prepared mustard. It worked just as well. Because the reviews were so enthusiastic I decided to double the recipe to have lots of sauce. We had leftovers and tried this with both Whipped potatoes and small italian pasta. Yummy any which way you decide to eat it! Next time I would like to add some green or red pepper and some onions. This is a real keeper! Thanks
