Penne with Chicken and Asparagus

Reviewed: May 22, 2010
Second time I have made it. Very tasty! This second time was more flavorful with use of just a bit more of the favorings. I sautated the chicken in the olive oil with 1/2 t of minced garlic, lots of ground pepper and some salt. When chicken no longer pink, added asparagus, another 1/2 t minced garlic and more pepper, a sprinkling of garlic powder and chicken broth. Steamed covered for 3-5 minutes till the asparagus was tendercrisp. Once done, added that to my already cooked pasta. Stirred in Parmesan cheese. Yummy! Everyone loved it!

BBQ Country Style Ribs

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2010
SOOOO yummy! We used boneless ribs and they were awesome! This is what I did. took the bottom of my broiler pan, lined with foil for easy clean up, put 1/4 cup water in bottom. put in the ribs and sprinked on garlic salt and covered with foil. Baked at 300 for 2 hrs. Drained water. covered with BBQ sauce. re-covered with foil. bake at 275 for 20 minutes. removed foil.... baked for 20 more. YUMMY! Served with Steakhouse White Bread from this site! Fantastic!!!!

We followed the recipe exactly and it was really runny so we added almost a whole second bag. After that it tasted really good! (still a bit runny)

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 21, 2009
This turned out really really sticky. I wasnt able to roll them thin enough without it sticking to the rolling pin. Had to ball them and flatten. taste was okay... not overly flavorful even with the extra tsp of vanilla and 1/2 tsp of almond extract.... will keep looking.

Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2009
WOW-ZERS!! GREAT PIE! I used fresh blueberries and 4 T of cornstarch. I made this for my Mom's b-day since she LOVES pie... she said it was the best blueberry pie she had in a long time! I cooked it at 400. then let it sit out overnight... no runny mess like some said they had! Perfect! UPDATE:: To get the bottom crust awesome and not soggy... Here are some things you can try: 1. chill your crust before you fill it (after you line the pan, stick it back in the fridge for 15 minutes). This keeps the filling from soaking in before the bottom crust can cook. 2. preheat the oven to 425, sprinkle bottom with some sugar, then cook it for about 15 minutes... then fill and top layer (add a little sugar there too). 3. bake your pie on the lowest rack in the oven. Some people even bake their pie right on the floor of the oven (if that is possible for your oven).
