Easy Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2012
Me and my husband ate this whole thing last night, it was so good! My kids wouldn't even try it to know that they would love it so that was too bad, but I'll keep trying. This recipe was perfect. As a personal preference, I added 1/2 cup milk but it would have been fine without, I was just hoping to get a little extra creaminess since I thought it would make it more appealing to my kids. Also, it was incredibly easy to make which I appreciate. Thanks for the great recipe!

Buffalo Wontons

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2011
These were fantastic! Really super easy to make and totally satisfied my craving for buffalo wings which is great since I dislike chicken on a bone but love the spicy chicken taste! :) I baked them instead of fried them and they were still wonderful. The second time I made these, I used egg roll wrappers instead of wonton wrappers which tasted the same but saved me a bunch of prep-work time. Thanks for the idea and recipe!

Butternut Squash Soup with Sage

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2011
This was really interesting. Both me and my husband took our first taste and thought it was really good! After 3 or 4 bites, I was still really impressed how it turned out, I really liked the Sage leave addition. But after that, it just didn't taste as good and by the end of my small bowl, I felt like I was forcing myself to eat it. It made a TON and we had lots of leftovers that neither of us wanted to eat. I'm not sure what happened, I guess the squash ended up being too much for us. From a recipe point of view, I didn't change anything, but I did have to cook the squash longer than 10 minutes for it to be tender.

Enchilada Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2011
This sauce was absolutely PERFECT! The only thing I did differently was only used 2 cups broth instead of 3 and left out the onion because I just don't like onions. I had a hard time removing the skins so I just gave up and pureed them in with it and it was wonderful anyways. I loved the flavor it had and was really happy how it turned out. I was looking for something that more closely matched the authentic taste of my favorite Mexican restaurant and this was exactly what I had in mind, thanks for the recipe! (Also, mine ended up being a very dark red color, it sounds like there is quite a variety of what color others have turned out!)

Eggplant Parmesan II

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2011
I have never even tried Eggplant Parmesan before, much less prepared it before but I thought I'd give it a try. I did salt the eggplant for 30 minutes first and cooked at 450 for 5-7 mins on each side as others recommended. It took me a long time to make (like an hour and a half total) but it ended up being so worth it! Both me and my husband loved it, it turned out perfectly. I did not peel the eggplant and I couldn't even taste the peel, it wasn't bitter at all. I saw someone posted a pic where they sliced the eggplant length-wise instead and I think I'll try that next time to save on time, but otherwise I wouldn't change a thing. So good, thanks for the recipe! :)

Chinese Style Sesame Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2010
This was so good! We've been experimenting for awhile with making chinese sauces and this was by far the best we've tried. I did half the sugar and added a couple Tbsp of sesame seeds. Thanks for the recipe!

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2010
I have never been able to find a store-bought alfredo sauce that I like, but this was AMAZING! And really easy and fast to make. My husband and 2 year old love it too. I've now made it about a dozen times and have never had a problem getting it to turn out perfect every time. I now even use fat free cream cheese and half the butter and it still turns out perfect. I've also started adding about 1/4 cup of white wine while cooking and I really like the taste of it. We serve it with chicken marinated in italian dressing and fettucine noodles. Thanks for the great recipe!

Quick and Easy Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2007
This was so good! I have to make it all the time for my husband now because he loves it. I followed the recipe exactly the first couple times, but now I add a 8oz bar of cream cheese to the mix.

I thought this was great! It turned out perfectly; very moist and sweet. I followed the recipe exactly, including the beating for 5 minutes before baking. Thanks for the recipe!

Sauce Rosee

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2007
A friend of mine and I made it for our husbands and we all loved it. We followed the recipe almost exactly; we didn't use the chicken boullion because we were making it vegetarian and we didn't measure the wine so it was probably a little less than what was called for. But it turned out perfect and thickened up very well. We boiled it for a couple minutes after adding the cream so maybe that helped thicken it up. Great recipe!

Broccoli Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2005
I absolutely LOVE this recipe. I first found this recipe over a year ago and I have been making it non-stop ever since. Although; I had no idea until today as I was reading these reviews, that 'processed' cheese food means velveeta! I have always used either chedder or colby-jack which I am fine with since I don't really like velveeta anyways. One thing I've learned is that once you add the cheese (especially if you are not using velveeta), don't let it boil! Let it get as hot as possible without boiling or it will come out grainy. I also leave out the water (for convenience) and just mix the corn starch with the milk. I am a terrible cook and can only make about 3 things, but this is one of them! My entire family loves it too.
