Aussie Chicken

Reviewed: May 10, 2006
This was a great recipe. My husband always orders this chicken at the "famous steakhouse" and this was quite similar. I made it the night before and baked it without the cheese ontop, just to cook the chicken. I refrigerated it until the next day, and topped with cheese and heated up. Chicken was tender and moist, topping and sauce were wonderful. Great for make ahead meals.

Condensed Milk Chocolate Frosting

Reviewed: May 17, 2005
WOW! This was great, and so easy!! I couldn't stop tasting and almost had to make more! I wonder if those who said it wasn't sweet enough used evaporated milk instead of condensed?

Four Egg Yellow Cake

Reviewed: May 25, 2012
I've made this several times as written, and it has turned out well every time. Sometimes I will also use half butter for the shortening, and sometimes I add butter flavoring. I am confused by the people who say it tastes like cornbread. Maybe the problem is the cornbread you're eating tastes like cake. The result I get from this recipe is nothing like cornbread. And if the recipe has failed for you, perhaps it's your mixing equipment or technique. Following the recipe has never failed me.

Beth's Spicy Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

I was looking for cookie recipes for a friend's wedding. I tried this one with craisins. I'm not a big fam of dried fruit, but these were great.

Good Dog Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2006
My dog loved these when I made them at Christmas for her and her dog friends. I made them again for Valentine's Day in heart shapes, and she never left the kitchen while they were baking.

Cream Filled Cupcakes

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2006
Awesome! I made these for a 4th of July picnic, and they were gone in ten minutes. The tray didn't even make it to the buffet table before four of them were gone! I used a devils food cake mix for speed, and iced with the Condensed Milk Chocolate Frosting from this site. The were messy & sticky, but obviously delicious. I can't speak from experience, because I didn't get one! I also had a little filling left, and used it to make the squiggly decoration on top, to look like the famous store bought cupcakes. I might try with a dfferent icing next time, to be less messy. But everyone was impressed. Thanks for sharing the recipe.

Baklava

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2006
This recipe made great baklava. I followed the recipe as written with one exception—I buttered each sheet of phyllo, not every two. As a result, I used about 1/2 cup more butter. I thought the key to making it wasy was preparation. I started the syrup to cook, then chopped the nuts, followed by melting the butter. Then I dampened the towel and opened the phyllo and started assembly. Excellent results!

Grilled Cheese Sandwich

Seriously, this recipe is what AllRecipes is all about—ALL recipes. Not everyone here is an expert chef looking for a new challenge. There are some people who need to know the basics. And who among us doesn't need to be reminded once in a while of something we learned long ago.

Funnel Cakes IV

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2013
I made these for our family's Independence Day celebration, and they were da bomb! Adults and children loved them! I followed the recipe to the letter, with only the addition of a dash of vanilla. Not sure it made a difference but everyone seemed to be recommending it. I made them in a wok on the side burner of the gas grill outside. It made for a fun activity and a delicious treat. Thank you for sharing the recipe.

Mahogany Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2011
I made skewered chicken by slicing breasts into strips and marinating in the sauce. I threaded the chicken on sticks and grilled, brushing and basting while it grilled. Excellent appetizer!

Moist Chocolate Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2013
I was about to try this after seeing the video yesterday, but the measurements and ingredients are different in the recipe here and the video. I'm not sure which is right. Are the reviews for the written recipe or the video. The video calls for sour cream (as opposed to yogurt in the recipe) and no salt, and the amounts of flour and sugar are different. Seems like a major mix-up to me.

Cheesy Hash Browns

It's a delicious recipe. 5 stars for taste, but I had to deduct two for the massive coronary disease factor per serving.
