Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast
I used a Bottom Round Rump Roast and rubbed it with Garlic Salt. I put the roast in the bottom of the Crockpot then mixed the onion soup (1 pkg), 1 can of Cream of Celery soup, 1 can of water and 1 can of diet Coke (gave the gravy a good color). I added baby carots and potatoes (unpeeled). It truely was awesome.

Oven Brown Rice
Absolutely WONDERFUL and SOOO easy! I sauted some chopped onion, garlic and a couple fresh carrots (very fine - for color) and added it to the recipe. I also used only chicken broth. It wasn't quite done in one hour so I will follow along with another reveiwer and cook it with the lid on. I may cut down on the butter - tastes great but we sure don't need all the fat. I will definitely use the recipe when I'm making rice - it couldn't be easier.

Quinoa and Black Beans
I had never heard of Quinoa till this week. I did a search on the Web for a recipe to use it and found this recipe. I can't believe it - it is FANTASTIC and I can't wait to make it again. I added a chopped carrot with the onion and garlic and used chicken broth. Otherwise I made it exactly as written and won't be doing any more substitutions. I can't wait to try it as an omelet filling as someone suggested.
