Teena's Spicy Pesto Chicken and Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2009
This was fantastic! I subbed angel hair pasta for the bowties. Also, I marinated my chicken breast whole and cooked them in the oven then sliced instead of cutting it up and cooking on the stove. Will make again and again.

Grilled Delmonico Steaks

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2007
We really enjoyed this marinade. Used it on sirloin as the rib-eyes at our store didn't look too good which is odd because they are usually great there. I did only use 1/2 tsp. salt as most of the ingredients are already loaded with salt and onlt one tsp. black pepper. My only other change next time will be to marinade them longer for a deeper flavor. I marinaded for about 6 hours next time I'll try 10 -overnight. Also, I like that it all goes in the food processor, I think it really blends the flavors well! Thanks for the recipe. We love it.

Barbequed Ribs

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2009
I have a phobia of eating meat "on the bone" but I don't have a problem cooking with it. I made these for my husband. He finally got me to have a taste and the flavor was fantastic! He said they were the best ribs he has ever had. When making the sauce part of the recipe, at first all I could smell when it started cooking was worcestershire sauce and though it was going to be too prominent. As the cooking time went on that smell decreased but the vinegar smell was almost overwhelming. I decided to leave it alone and finish cooking the full hour. I'm so glad I did! The flavors melded perfectly into a wonderful sauce! We thank you for a great recipe!

Secret Burger Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2009
We really enoyed this recipe. Added a little extra dill pickle. The contrast between the sweet flavor of the mayo and ketchup with the pickle was excellent! We liked it so much so, that during dinner I got up and put some in a bowl to dip our hamburgers that already had some on them. Thanks so much for the recipe. It's a keeper!

Scottish Bubbles and Squeak Patties

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2009
We loved the flavor of these. Had trouble keping the patties together though. However, that could be out fault becase we madethe mixture earlier in the day and them shaped them cold. It didn't matter though because ecooked it "hash" style and let it get crispy in spots. Thanks for the recipe. We will make it again and next time we will follow the directions and shape the patties while it's still all warm.

Steak and Ale Pie with Mushrooms

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2009
We only made the filling for this. We used leftover roast that had been cooked in a slow cooker with beef consume and canned onion soup. We onitted the potatoes but added the rest of the ingredients. Instead of a pastry crust e just the potatoes called for in the recipe to make mashed potatoes. We topped the meat mixture with the mashed potatoes prior to baking. Turned out wonderful. Very flavorful meat mixture indeed. So, we didn't follow the whole recipe so I can't say how that would have been. I just know that meat part was great. Thanks for the recipe. Will use this in the future to do the same thing. Oh, and for the beer we used a vey dark one from a local micro brewery.

Souvlaki

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2009
I loved these. Marinated the meat in one bag and veggies in the other all day. Skewered right before grilling. Very good flavor. I used low sodium soy as I always do so we didn't find then too salty as others had mentioned. Also, used orange and red peppers as that is what I had on hand. Will make again. Thanks for the recipe

Marinated Cherry Tomato Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2007
This deserves 5 stars! The only changes I made was to sub fresh herbs for the dried as well as halved the salt. Other than that I followed the recipe to a T! This was so fresh a flavorful - I could eat this all summer long. Great side dish and super snack. Also I was a little leary about adding the sugar b/c cherry tomatoes tend to sweet on their own but I'm glad that I did! It was sweet tart and salty all at the same time. Super recipe!

Japanese Zucchini and Onions

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2007
This is a super way to prepare zucchini! We both loved it. The zucchini is not soggy like a lot of pther zucchini recipes. The flavor is fantastic. I had to use Teriyaki Baste and Glaze from Kikkomen because I didn't have any regular on hand. I think it worked great. When I make it again I will use the same teriyaki.

Mushroom Orzo

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2007
We really enjoyed this recipe. We used fat free reduced sodium chicken broth in place of the water. We also used 1/2 of a yellow onion chopped up instead of pearl onions as that is what we had. Other than that followed recipe exactly. It was creamy and very tasty. Will make again!

G's Flank Steak Marinade

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2007
I loved the overall flavor of this recipe. The only thing I changed was to use low sodium soy sauce. Other than that followed recipe exactly. The recipe calls for the flank steak to be marinated for, "at least 6 hours". I marinated for about 11 hours. Next time I will only marinade it for about 6 hours as while the flavor was wonderful it was a little strong. Also, I had never tried flank steak before and it is pretty good. I will definitely buy flank steak again and use this marinade.

Best Lemonade Ever

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2009
Verygood lemonade! I made this with my 3 yr. old last weekend and he had lots of fun sqeezing all the lemons. I didn't read the directions throughly and did not heat the sugar water mixture. I just mixed it all together and it turned out just fine! Love it. Thanks for the recipe!

Grilled Chicken Over Spinach

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2007
This was great! I'll make this over and over. However, I did make two changes. 1)We don't really like cayenne pepper - I substituted worcestershire sauce. 2) doubled the marinade.

Chicken Fajita Seasoning

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2009
Fantastic! I did not use the cilantro/coriander as I just don't care for it. Also, I sliced up my chicken and marinated it for a few hours in the seasoning mix before dinner. Then when it was time to cook I drained it, cooked up the chicken and then added the rest of the marinade back to the pan. We just loved this! So flavorful. The best fajitas I've ever made. I did use the whole 2 tsp. of cumin. Also, I was skeptical about the worcestershire sauce but ended up loving that addition. Thanks for the recipe! It's a keeper.

Meatball Nirvana

Reviewed: Mar. 5, 2010
We love these meatballs! We've been making them for over a year now and they are perfect for our family as my son is allergic to eggs and this is one of the only recipes I've found that doesn't include eggs. I decrease the pepper flakes to just a pinch since my three year old is eating them. They have a nice flavor compared to a lot of other meatballs I've tried that seem rather bland. Thanks for the recipe, LTH!

Turkey a la King Deluxe

Reviewed: Dec. 3, 2009
As far as "a la king" goes this was so good! I used fresh parsley (had some left from Thanksgiving to use up) and added a little extra sherry towards the end. I only had heavy cream but that worked fine. We loved it! Thanks!
