Angel Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2005
I tried this recipe twice. First time a bit salty but great flavor. The second time I used plain cream cheese (that's all I had) but added a tablespoon or so of minces shallots. I also added 1 package of frozen spinach thawed and water squeezed out. IT WAS GREAT! I think the spinach increased the sauce as well as decreased the level of saltiness.

Teriyaki Sauce and Marinade

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2007
This is a really tasty teriyaki. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because it was a little too salty and I used low sodium soy sauce.

This was great! Really moist and flavorful. Made it in the oven too and it was just as good!

Grilled Chicken Over Spinach

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2007
This was great! I'll make this over and over. However, I did make two changes. 1)We don't really like cayenne pepper - I substituted worcestershire sauce. 2) doubled the marinade.

Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Jun. 11, 2007
This was just OK. I would eat it again if it were being served but I probably won't make it again. If I did make it again I would double the sauce.

Chicken Breasts with Balsamic Vinegar and Garlic

Reviewed: Jun. 14, 2007
I'm giving this three stars only because my fiance liked it. I thought it was edible but not great. I like balsamic vinegar but for me this was too much. I used 1/2 really good balsamic, and half regular old grocery store balsamic. Maybe it would be better with all good vinegar.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2007
This was good meatloaf. For some reason it was a little spicy, but it was good. I did put the brown sugar, ketchup glaze on top. Also, I added a pinch of dried rosemary. I will definitely make this again.

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

These were super! I usually don't really care for them but my fiance likes them so I cook them. I actually liked these! I'll make them again!

Special Deviled Eggs

Reviewed: Jun. 21, 2007
These were just OK. Not the flavor I was hoping for. I'm not sure but I think that maybe my horseradish had gone bad. There was just an odd flavor and I didn't think it was any of the other ingredients. Anyway, if this was the case... my bad not the recipe. Either way I probably wouldn't make these again

Crustless Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2007
This was a really great recipe. The only problem that I had was when I took the spinach out of the freezer I didn't check to see if it was chopped or whole leaf. It was whole leaf. I would definitely use chopped as the recipe specifies. The whole leaf clumps together in the center of the quiche. Other than that it was great. Oh, I also used 1 cup sharp cheddar as well as 1 cup baby swiss.

G's Flank Steak Marinade

Reviewed: Jun. 23, 2007
I loved the overall flavor of this recipe. The only thing I changed was to use low sodium soy sauce. Other than that followed recipe exactly. The recipe calls for the flank steak to be marinated for, "at least 6 hours". I marinated for about 11 hours. Next time I will only marinade it for about 6 hours as while the flavor was wonderful it was a little strong. Also, I had never tried flank steak before and it is pretty good. I will definitely buy flank steak again and use this marinade.

Rice with Herbes de Provence

Reviewed: Jun. 25, 2007
This was a good recipe and about as simple as you can get. Next time though I may cut down on the herbs a tiny bit. Thanks for a great way to spruce up boring rice!

This was really good soup! I followed the directions exactly with one exception which was to omit the pasta. We really enjoyed this.

Chicken Florentine Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2007
This was very good! I only used half of the Italian seasoning but doubled all of the other ingredients except the garlic - that, I just pressed 3 cloves through the garlic press. I cooked the chicken in the oven as recipe stated. However, I shredded it instead of keeping them whole. I also added about 1/2 a box of fettucini. Mixed it all together and topped with cheese. I used Fontina as that is all I had on hand. It was very rich but super! Will make again! Probably in Fall or Winter as it is such a hearty meal. Also, I used frozen whole leaf spinach.

Mushroom Orzo

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2007
We really enjoyed this recipe. We used fat free reduced sodium chicken broth in place of the water. We also used 1/2 of a yellow onion chopped up instead of pearl onions as that is what we had. Other than that followed recipe exactly. It was creamy and very tasty. Will make again!

Asparagus with Parmesan Crust

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2007
I love asparagus pretty much every way you can cook it. But this is over the top! It was so good! I didn't use a whole 1/4 cup of balsamic - just drizzled a few drops here and there. I will be making this often!

Unbelievable Chicken

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2007
I have had this recipe in my box for a while just waiting to try it. Now that I have, I would have been better off just waiting. This was pretty poor! I expected super chicken and we just weren't impressed at all with the flavor. Very sweet with little to no citrus or garlic flavor. I won't make this again.

This was OK. We thought the sesame oil was a little overpowering. We also added mushrooms. Not my favorite but not all bad.

Japanese Zucchini and Onions

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2007
This is a super way to prepare zucchini! We both loved it. The zucchini is not soggy like a lot of pther zucchini recipes. The flavor is fantastic. I had to use Teriyaki Baste and Glaze from Kikkomen because I didn't have any regular on hand. I think it worked great. When I make it again I will use the same teriyaki.
