Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2011
Very good ham. I did not use thye liquid smoke but instead added 2 TBS dijon mustard to the liquid/sugar mixture. Very tender and tasty. I did not find it overly sweet at all. In fact, after we sliced the ham we sprinkled a little of the sweet juice from the bottom of the pot on top of our ham before serving... Thanks for the recipe.

Owen's BBQ Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2011
This was pretty good. I let the chicken marinate in the sauce over 24 hours (plans changed). Next time I might take another reviewers idea to use chili sauce instead of ketchup. However, even with the ketchup it was good. Oh, when it was cooking, the vinegar smelled really strong but the finished product was good. Thanks for the recipe.

Down Home Macaroni and Cheese

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2011
Nowhere near enough cheese in this. I followed the recipe but took it out of the oven for minute to get some for my son. When I tasted it it mostly tasted of milk and flour. I quickly grated a block of sharp cheddar and mixed that in and put it back in the oven for the rest of the recommended baking time. The extra cheese helped a lot but had I served it as the recipe directs, everyone would have been disappointed besides my 4 yr. old who likes bland. If I were to make this again, I would definitely double the cheese.

Traditional Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2011
We did not care for this at all! Not the patties or the gravy. Made recipe per instructions and just didn't like it. The gravy had a very odd tangy flavor. The patties were bland.

Hamburgers by Eddie

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
Delicious hamburgers! I omitted the egg because I don't think hamburgers need egg but also because my little one is allergic to them. I didn't measure the garlic just crushed two medium cloves. Used Heinz 57 for the steak sauce. To top off the burgers I melted a good Gouda over them and spread some ranch dressing mixed with a little ketchup which added a little sweetness. Thanks for the recipe. Will definitely make these again!

Onion Soup Gratinee

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2011
Delicious soup! I've made it twice now. One time as called for with chicken stock and the other with beef stock. We preferred it with beef stock but it's good both ways. Also, the second time we made it we added a little more port and it was sensational. Thanks for the recipe. Easy and tasty!

Brown Sugar Cut-Out Cookies and Icing

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2011
These were very easy to make and roll out. Perfect recipe for Christmas decorating cookies for my family as my son is allergic to eggs and this recipe does not call for them. They are not overly sweet which is nice as well. The dough does need a little more milk to properly mix together but other than that it was great. Thanks for the recipe. We were finally able to decorate Christmas cookies and had so much fun.

Balsamic Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2010
Delicious!!! Made 6 servings rather than 4. Also added 1 clove of garlic. Used as a sauce for a mixture of penne, sauted spinach and sliced beef tenderloin. Turned out a fantastic one-dish meal. Thanks for the recipe. Will make this sauce over and over.

This was good. I used lo mein noodles instead of Ramen because Ramen are fried. Otherwise followed recipe. We really enjoyed this. Thanks for the recipe

Slow Cooker Cocktail Smokies

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2010
Made these for pumpkin carving. They were really good and as easy as it gets. I did add a little more grape jelly than called for as the BBQ sauce I used had too much spice for our little guy. We loved them. Thanks!

Fabulous Zucchini Grinders

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2010
Intersting filling for a grinder. Turned out really good. We did use grinder rolls that were sprayed with olive oil (have one of things that you add your own olive oil, pump the top and spray), rubbed with garlic and broiled before adding the zucchini, sauce and cheese. No sog here!

Zucchini Parmesan Crisps

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2010
So good! We have made these twice now. One time with panko and shake parm (we were in a hurry) with a pinch of Italian seasoning and garlic powder. The next time we used, avacado oil, fresh parmigiano reggiano and seasoned bread crumbs. The second time they were so much better! But still good both ways. We will probably make them again tonight since we have so much zucchini to use up and everybody loves them. We served them both times with marinara and Lighthouse blue cheese dressing. I prefer the dressing. Thanks so much for a great recipe!

Very good! Subbed fresh garlic for the powder. Subbed olive oil for the vegetable oil and used just a couple of grinds of pepper. Marinated 10 hours.... We really enjoyed this chicken. Thanks for the recipe!

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: May 3, 2010
Fantastic! I used chopped grape tomatoes, a whole pint. Omitted the sun-dried tomatoes as we didn't have any on hand. Decreased the oil a little. The balsamic really added a lot to this bruschetta. Great idea! Making again tonight! Can't get enough! Thanks for the recipe!

Berry Smoothie

Sooo good and refreshing on a hot day! We did have to add a little more milk as it was way to thick. Used fat free milk. Thanks for the recipe!

Tomato Asparagus Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2010
I love this salad! I did steam the asparagus until just crisp tender rather than boil. Also used only half the dressing called for. Also used a Lite Balsamic dressing. Great fresh simple recipe. Thanks!

Buttery Lemon Spinach

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2010
Great fresh tasting recipe! However, next time I will use 1 TBS butter not five. Too greasy and not so healthy with all that butter. The flavor was great though. Thanks!
