Extra Easy Hummus

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2007
great recipe, if you are looking an alternative to hummus without tahini. i doubled the garlic, halfed the cumin, added a few shakes of ground red pepper, and some lemon juice. you really need to add a little lemon, otherwise the recipe just isn't has "bright". i really enjoyed this one!

Phenomenal Chicken and Pasta in Creamy Pesto Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2006
This is a great recipe. I made a couple of changes to reduce the fat content and to increase the amount of sauce. I substituted 15 oz of chicken stock for the heavy cream and then thickened the sauce with half and half and grated Romano cheese.

Potato Casserole

Reviewed: Jul. 8, 2007
The proportions are really off in this recipe. I had to make adjustments soon after I put mine in the oven because it became apparent that this was going to turn out more like potato soup than a casserole. If you double the potatoes, omit or reduce the butter, and half the cheese then this will turn out great. As written, this recipe doesn't work well.

this recipe is fail proof. I make my own vegetable broth by using water, celery, carrots, and onions. turns out perfect every time.

Great recipe. I added about 4 ounces of sharp cheddar cheese and some sliced jalepenos. It turned out wonderful this way.

Abby's Chicken Rollatini

Reviewed: May 21, 2007
This recipe is fantastic! The only changes that I made were using fresh mozarella and adding sliced garlic to the wine and olive oil sauce. I served this with asparagus risotto and Maria's broccoli rabe, both recipes also found on this site.

Catherine's Spicy Chicken Soup

a bit over engineered in my opinion. if use about 1/2 of the ingredients it will turn out great.

Brooklyn Girl's Penne Arrabiata

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2006
Great recipe! I dredged the chicken in flour instead of using bread crumbs and added a 15 ounce can of tomato sauce. I disagree that this recipe is too spicy. I actually added more crushed red pepper than was called for. Great dish!

Cha Cha's White Chicken Chili

Great recipe as-is, but very flexible to changes too! I like to add habenero peppers and a handful of frozen corn.
