Chicken Veggie Soup II

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2007
This was a wonderful recipe, though I admit I didn't follow it to the letter. I used a whole chicken cut up(not boneless/skinless), then deboned and deskinned my chicken and used the broth from that to prepare the soup. I used more vegetables, pretty much doubled the amount in the recipe, and did not use hot sauce because my tots would not go for it, and this soup was a HIT! It was very, very hearty and very tasty. Served over rice or noodles it is perfect for small children who in our home generally don't like soup. Defintely a keeper and we'll have this again and again. Thanks for this wonderful recipe!

Slow Cooker Ham

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2007
I used this recipe exactly as it is written. I felt uneasy about the fact that it had no liquid, but I should not have. The ham created its own liquid and this was THE BEST HAM EVER! I will never cook another ham in the oven. One note: In my crockpot on low, it did take my 8-lb ham longer than 8 hours to achieve perfection, and I never lifted the lid. I would say it took 9.5 hours, so please know that cooking times can vary.

Orange Pork

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2007
This wasn't bad. I was looking for something "orange" in flavor but in fact it was more "soy sauce" in flavor, which was disappointing. However, it was still pretty good and I'll try it again with a lot less soy sauce and a little more OJ.

Amazing Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2007
Oh yeah, this was good. If anyone is thinking they don't want to try this recipe because they are afraid it will taste like mayo, let me put that fear to rest...your chicken won't taste like mayo but the mayo does contribute to a moist chicken filet which stays moist even when reheated.
