Braised Balsamic Chicken

Reviewed: Dec. 11, 2010
So much going on here I thought it would have a ton of flavor. We were very dissapointed, will not make again. Lots of salt helped.

Granny Kat's Pumpkin Roll

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2010
The cake was a little spongy for me, but overall good flavor. I did add 1/8 tsp of salt, as all cakes/cookies need it to balance the sweetness.

Yum, I did not have lemon pepper, so I used garlic powder. Will be making again!

Lemon Glazed Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2010
Wow, sooooo moist. I am a fan of the Cake Mix Dr. and subst. milk for the water, just crazy good. My daughter wanted cupcakes, so she frosted them with just store bought vanilla and everyone loved them!

Caramel Apple Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2010
I am surprised at the rating on this one. The chops were very blande. I wish there would have been some wetness to the apples. The flavor was great on them, but it wasnt like they poured over the chops, just laid on top and were dry. Wont be making again.

Best Beef Dip Ever

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2010
Wow, this was so simple, yet so delicious. I will be making this and have already passed on the recipe. I put the beef on open faced foccacia bread with a few pepporoncini's. I covered each with a slice of swiss cheese and put it in the oven for 5 minutes. Dipping in au jus just puts it over the top!!

My Best Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2010
I wish I had bacon, I would have used that to build on the flavors. It was very good, a little too rich. Next time will only use half of the half and half and the other half 2 % milk, and add bacon. Otherwise, very nice

Slow Cooker Taco Soup

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2010
This was a hit with my kids. None of us thought it tasted like a taco, but oh well. Super simple to throw together. I only had 2 hrs, so I browned the meat and onions then let it simmer for 2 hrs on the stovetop. Perfect with crushed tortilla chips, shredded cheese and sour cream on it

Fluffy Pancakes

very good and simple to prepare. Not as good as the Good Old Fashioned pancakes from this site, just not as much flavor, but still good.

Cinnamon Cream Syrup

Very good and had all the things in my cupboard. I added a bit of vanilla. I still prefer the buttermilk syrup from this site, but dont have that on hand.

Chocolate Devil Cookies

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2010
At Christmas time, i substitute the vanilla extract for peppermint. I tint the filling with some red food coloring and then roll the sides of the finished sandwiches in crushed peppermint!! They are the hit on my cookie plates! You can also use chocolate fudge cookie mix, just as good!!

I am sorry to say that I didnt notice any added flavor by doing this method. They were good before and good now, but not sure its worth the extra effort.

Triple Fudge Brownies

Reviewed: May 29, 2010
Very cakey. Easy enough that my 9 yr old daughter made them alone. she added some crushed oreos and then a can of frosting on top. They were fine but certainly wont be making them again.

Breakfast Casserole III

Reviewed: May 18, 2010
I followed others in cutting the potatoes down to just 3, and that was plenty. In fact, they were the bulk of the preparation and next time I might substitute hash browns. I sauteed the potatoes in half butter/half garlic oil. I also used leeks instead of onions. It was a hit with my clan.

My family has been making this for over 15 yrs and it is also a staple on our holiday table. Lately, I have been adding a handful or two of shredded cheese and about 1/2 tsp of salt. It is perfect every time!!!

Vintage Lemonade

This was great, followed instructions exactly. Allow plenty of time to cool in fridge. Adding ice to do it will dilute the taste to much.

Smooth Strawberry Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2010
I have been making strawberry soup for more than 10 yrs. This one was great. I found that I like to combine my old one and this one. Instead of the sour cream, use plain yogurt and you wont get a bitter taste. Then reduce the honey to 1/4 cup since you dont need to make up for the bitter sour cream with it. Also use 1 cup apple and 1 cup pinneapple juice.
