Cottage Dill Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2005
I love this bread. Instead of the Dill I used 2 Tbl. of fresh chives. I've gotten rave reviews from all the people with whom I've shared this loaf. Now I have to make another one just for me. Everything has to be at room temp. for the loaf to raise properly.

Broccoli Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2005
This was delicious! I used frozen broccolli and artichoke quarters. I happen to have a lot of bread crumbs from my bread maker that doesn't work the way I want it to and so I used those for the topping. Best ever!! Today I'm making it with SW Pepper Jack cheese soup instead of the Mushroom soup. Spicy but just as good.

Red Snapper Livornese

Reviewed: May 20, 2005
Good, tasty. May need a little more salt. The Snapper came out tough and I may cover it when I cook it next.

Kathy's Award Winning Barbeque Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2005
I usually double this when I make it. My friends all love it. Me too. The only other thing I do is I use Shrimp cocktail sauce instead of the ketchup. It seems to add that extra zing.

Chicken Suiza Cornbread Bake

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2005
I used FF yougart instead of the sour creme. I omitted the creamed corn and added a can of Campbells Creme of Pablano Chili soup. Topped it with both pepper jack and cheddar cheese. It came out pretty darn spicy but good.

Hot and Sour Soup with Tofu

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2005
A beautiful colorfull soup but it never got bubbly or thick. I'd use a bit more Corn starch and maybe Beef Broth instead of the chicken. Just my personal taste. I also used the whole 14 oz. of tofu.

Slow Cooker Lentil and Ham Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2005
This was delicious! The only thing I did different was I added a can of stewed tomatoes instead of the tomato sauce. Very, very good. If you like it spicy you could add some hot sauce or a little chili powder. I've turned the AC down so I can pretend it's cold outside. This soup is perfect for that...and healthy too. PS. I cooked it on the stove for 45 minutes instead of using the crock pot. I was hungry.

Pecan Pumpkin Pie III

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2005
This looks really good. I didn't have or want to use eggs so I used eggbeaters instead. No sour creme so I used peach yogart...all I could find. It is very tasty and like the advertisement said not as overpowering as a regular pecan pie. Kind of light and fluffy. I'd make it again but only if my cholesterol levels go down and I can use real eggs.

I made this with frozen green beans and roasted garlic. Did the olive oil, salt, pepper, a little Smart Balance and fresh shredded parmesan. Oh baby! This is good.

This was good but a little overpowering. I only used 1/2 cup olive oil.

Amish Potato Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2006
I made it for 16 people and I think it called for a little too much onion. Otherwise, very tasty. I added radishes and I shredded the carrots.

Kugel

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2006
I love this recipe! I just changed a few things. I put a small amount of the kugel on the bottom of the plate and then sprinkled warmed apricot preserves over it. Then I put the rest of the kugle over that. Instead of the grahm crackers I used corn flakes. I took this to an AA meeting and it was a hit.

Kalamata Olive and Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2006
It was easy to make. Mine came out kind of salty and I wonder if it's because I didn't have any non-iodidezed salt? Aren't the olives packed in some kind of salt solution? Anyway, it does taste pretty good and I know I'll use it no matter what. Hence, only 4 stars.
