Sarah's Applesauce

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2013
So fresh and tasty. After reading some of the reviews, I cut back just a tad on the water and sugar - I love how this came out. I see why you need the water. During the cooling process, the water sort of becomes a syrup - and soaks back into the apples. Will be awesome with my porkchops today. Used 2 figi and 2 granny smiths. I won't be buying the jarred stuff anymore - thanks alot for posting this.

Holiday Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2012
When I first mixed this together, I was a little put off by the saltiness and the color. Threw it in the fridge anyway - left with pretty low expectations from what I tasted pre-fridge. I did a complete 360 on this when I tasted this the next day, however. It was freaking delicious!!!!! I did leave out the green pepper as I don't like it - if I had yellow or red I might have added some. Per other's very helpful reviews, I used 3 half chicken breasts, (seems to be the perfect amount) and did the poaching the way that was previously suggested. Cover breasts in water in a pot, bring water to a boil, turn off heat, cover and let sit for 20 minutes. Came out moist and perfect. Give this a chance - I just licked my plate.......

Chicken Breasts with Balsamic Vinegar and Garlic

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2012
Made this for the first time today and it was absolutely delicioius. I stayed true to the recipe, since it was the first time making, but used fresh herbs because I had them, doubled the amount, and added a bit of rosemary. The reduction sauce is pure gold, I loved it. Thanks for sharing, will be making this again for sure. Oh, others didn't care for the flour dredge, but I liked it - gave the reduction something to sort of cling to. Just personal preference I guess. Yum.

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: May 1, 2011
So, so good. I did the 80/20 beef pork ratio with this as another reviewer did. Other than that, followed the recipe. Also did alot of smashing with a hand held potato masher while cooking. Will be using this on for now on. Fantastic meal! Thanks alot for sharing!

Italian Breaded Pork Chops

Reviewed: Apr. 8, 2011
This is so much better than the way I used to do these. Used panko, seasoned it myself, used thinner, boneless chops so cut the oven time by 10 minutes. Will use this and variations of it again and again - Thank alot for posting it.

Potato Latkes I

Really good. Like previous reviewers, used one egg and doubled the onion. Love the peanut oil instead of vegetable oil. Thank you very much for sharing - love me some latkes!

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2010
Thought this was just ok. The wine saved it. It seemed a little bland. I took one reviewers suggestion and tried golden mushroom soup and it turned the gravy into a funky yellow color. The chopps turned a bit chewy too. Maybe I just did something wrong.

Braciola I

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2001
I made these for Christmas w/ a wonderful red sauce recipe I got from this site, and I couldnt have been happier. Absolutly perfect. I did leave out the mozzerella after reading about it falling out while cooking, but thought the raisins were a nice touch. My sister said these were the best shes ever had, and she was married to an Italian for 15 years! I was proud to serve these. Thank you for sharing this recipe.

Creamy Blueberry Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2001
I wonder if I did something wrong...this pie turned out way too sweet. I think I should have used just half of the topping. Just too sweet and overpowered the good filling of blueberrys. Easy on the sugar!!
