Butterfly Honey Pork Fillets

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2000
This was so quick and easy to fix; just put in the fridge and turn every now and then; then broil 15-20 min on the grill. I got raves from everyone at the table.

Bread Machine Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2000
This bread goes well with many of the dishes my family likes. It has the tang of sour-dough along with the bite of the garlic. Very good

Quick Fried Rice

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2000
This bacon-fried rice is really good. I would add less vegetables, though. I found that it became veggies with rice instead of rice with veggies. Tastes great, however!

Cinnamon Bread II

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2000
This is good bread. We like cinnamon toast, so this was great toasted, buttered, and sprinkled with sugar. It was also good just to eat with a meal.

Ground Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2000
This was good, if a little bland. I fixed my noodles in beef boullion, and it was great. I'll fix it again.

French Onion Casserole

This casserole is so easy to make, and so good to eat. My picky husband had a second helping!

Campfire Green Beans

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2001
This dish is so easy to make. There are food allergies in my family, and green beans are the vegetable I serve most, so I am always looking for new ways to serve them. This is a winner. It's easy, it's good, it's different.

Herbed Pork and Apples

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2001
I recently served this at a family dinner. My sister-in-law had to have the recipe, and even my picky-eater husband loved it! Really good.

Carrot Cheesecake with Crumb Crust

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2002
This is a wonderful dessert! It's a rich color, and the flavor is delightful. A welcome change from the more common fruit-topped cheesecakes.

Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2002
Wow! This is the best ham I ever cooked! We turned the oven down during church, and didn't baste during that time, but it worked. I had to substitute for the corn syrup--my father is allergic to corn, so used maple (real maple) syrup instead. Wonderful! I'll do it again!

Apple Pie Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2002
I'm sorry about all the people who had bad luck with this recipe. I thought it was wonderful! My Mom said it was like the "old-fashioned" bread her mother made. The texture was fine, the flavor was great, and it was gone in no time. I did have to add about a TBL more of bread flour, but that's the only problem I had. I have another batch making as I write this, and I will make it again.

English Muffin Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2002
I cut this recipe in half and made it in my bread machine. I added about 1 and 1/2 tablespoon of butter. It's great. Tastes good as bread and toasts beautifully. The texture is good and the taste is great. I did have to add a little more water as it mixed, but each bread machine is different.

Hungarian Mushroom Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2002
This is good. Really good. It's thick enough to use for a sauce; thinned with a little more water, it's good in a bowl. I love the seasonings, which I'm not used to. I'll try more recipes with these herbs because I liked this so well. Next time I'll try some of the suggestions others have made. Really, really good soup.

Baked Milk Fish

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2002
I'll try anything to get my high-cholesterol husband to eat fish. This wasn't too bad, but the onions didn't cook through and there was too much milk. I cut that the next time, and sauteed the onion first (not-stick pan in some of the milk). That improved it. Still needs something.

Garlic Green Beans

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2002
Oh yeah! This is great. We served it with lasagne, and didn't add the cheese. With something less cheesy, the cheese would be great. We gobbled it right down. Wow. The house smelled of cooking garlic and made everyone really hungry. We'll have it again, yes we will!

Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2003
In the words of a better cook than I am, "Oh, yeah, Babe!!" I read the other reviews and used plenty of garlic. I put some Italian seasoning in the bread crumbs. I also pounded the chicken just a bit to soften the tissues. Loved it. Will fix it again. And again. And again.

Bilo Walter's Easy Herb Potatoes

Reviewed: May 7, 2003
I like this. Be sure to cut the potatoes small enough. I didn't, and it took forever to cook through. Next time I will cut them smaller. I also put in 1/2 lb of mushrooms I had on hand. Really good. Maybe a little more salt....

Skillet Chops with Mushroom Gravy

My husband is a picky eater who doesn't care for mushroom soup at all. He likes this recipe. Goes well with mashed potatoes. Tastes good warmed over. Good stuff!

Cheeseburger Soup I

Reviewed: May 7, 2003
I served this soup when all my children were home. They ate it up! But, it needs more cheese. I put grated cheese on the table and they added quite a bit individually. I will also put more hamburger into it for a meatier flavor.
