Chicken Breasts Pierre

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2005
I almost didn't make this 'cause all the different things in it seems sort of weird and I'm not a fan of sweet and sour type stuff but let me tell you it was great! My husband now asks for this all the time. The only thing I did different was use dijion mustard in place of the mustard powder because I just don't usually have it on hand.

Double Layer Pumpkin Cheesecake

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2005
This had a very good flavor but I was expecting it to be a little less soft like a regular cheescake or pumpkin pie. It is more soft like a mousse. I may have just undercooked it.

Cranberry Apple Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2005
We made this for Thanksgivibg and it was a very good and welcome change from boring cranberry sauce. I recived many compliments on this.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Nov. 25, 2005
I made this pie for thankgiving because my husband requested an apple pie. It was sooooooo good. It was also very easy to make. One of my guests who is a chef trained at the Cordon Blu cullinary school of London complimented it and said that the form was excellent because it was very hard to get an apple pie to hold its mound. Great recipe. Thank you!

Awesome Broccoli-Cheese Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2005
This was very good and very easy. I was lloking for a way to play up a boring bag of broccoli with very few ingredients on hand. It was a hit. I will make this again.

Tuna Noodle Casserole from Scratch

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2005
This is about as good as tuna casserole can get. It wasn't as easy as my moms old soup based recipe but well worth the extra steps. It was creamy and flavorful. The buttered bread crumbs on the top added a wonderful flavor. Even my daughter who hates mushrooms and anything tuna, had seconds.

Southwestern Turkey Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2005
this soup was good but I thought it lacked substance. I think I should have added some rice or some chunky veggies to it to make it more filling. The flavor was good. It was also a little too time consuming for the payoff.

Mouth-Watering Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2005
These were okay. The filling was to cheesy tasting from the parm. Also I ended up with WAY to much filling and had to throw it out even though I used two packs of shrooms. I hate to waste food

The Great Pumpkin Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2005
I made this as an alternative to the chocolate cake being served at a family function. It was a big hit among the ones who opted for it.

Potato Salmon Patties

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2005
I have put this recipe into our regular rotation. We love it. It is a nice spin on traditional salmon patties. They are very quick and easy to make and my whole family loves them (even my picky two year old will pick them up and gobble them down. Very good with horseradish as the author suggested.

Chocolate Cavity Maker Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2005
I made this for my mothers 50th birthday party. It was great! I did use frosting and it was almost too chocolatey. Will make this again for sure. The left overs were promtly devored by my mom and some friends with coffee. They raved about it.

Spinach and Rice (Spanakorizo)

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2005
I loved this recipe. It was surisingly filling and smooth, not bland like I thought it would be. I did add some lemon and a handful of diced mushrooms because I needed to use them up. Even my husband who is a self proclaimed onion hater gobbled it up. This is a great way to get your leafy greens in. Will definately make again.

Hummus III

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2005
I recently went on a trip to Houston and ate at a great little mediteranian place. They had all you could eat hummus and pitas. I have been craving it every since. My old Hummus recipe just didn't compare. This recipe was exactly what i was looking for. Fabulous!!! I now keep some on hand for emergency snacking. Hits the spot and healthy too! Thank you so much for this one.

Chocolate Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Jul. 15, 2005
I wasnt crazy about this recipe. The cream cheese was good but the cinnamon added a strange flavor. I will try it again without it. Also I added extra cocoa powder to cut some of the cinnamon flavor. This definately helped.

Rempel Family Meatloaf

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2005
Good meatloaf but a little too sweet and a little too much onion. Next time I will use only half the onion soup mix and will use brown gravy instead of the ketchup I used on top. I think that is why it was sweet. Otherwise very good.

A Plus Carrot Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2005
Very good. I used 1/8 tsp of cloves and 1/8 tsp of ginger because I like a spicy cake but it was just the recipe I was looking for. I used the whipped cream cream cheese icing on this site. Perfect!!

Whipped Cream Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2005
This frosting was fabulous! I accidentally used 1 cup of cream instead of 1 1/2. It still turned out great. I used it for the A plus carrot cake recipe. Perfect combo.

American Lasagna

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2005
I decided to try this one instead of my usual basil lasagna and it was a huge hit. I used 1 1/2 Tb of brown sugar and I think 1 Tb would have been just a little better. Otherwise I followed the recipe. I asked my family before rating how many stars out of five. They said five because it was great and they could find a single thing they would change. Thank you for this one!
