Peanut Butter Chip Chocolate Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2012
We did not enjoy these at all, unfortunately! The premise sounded promising and like something we would love. I made these Christmas Eve for Santa and it was all he could do to choke one down, lol. The texture was a bit too much like a brownie and the cocoa was too overpowering, in my opinion. The peanut butter chips were completely lost. Will not make again.

Get a Husband Brunswick Stew

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2011
I made this a few weeks ago using some pulled pork I had in the freezer and we loved it! This was the only meat I put in. The husband, from Alabama, said it was the closest and best to what he's had in Alabama. I'm making it again today :) Definitely a keeper.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars IV

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2011
So yummy! Very rich! Added a big spoon of peanut butter to the chocolate like others suggested. Not sure how others fit all this into a 8x8 pan. I did not use a 9x13 but I had a weird 8x12 (not sure where this pan came from) that worked great.

Cake Balls

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2010
So easy! Love making these every year! Note: I've found for pretty shape and easier dipping, you've absolutely got to roll the balls by hand and then refrigerate/freeze them for a few hours. This helps their shape be firm and ensures they won't crumble as you dip them.

Monterey Spaghetti

Very good. Skipped the parm cheese, added cream of mushroom soup, 1/2 c milk, and just baked in the oven on 400 for 35 min.

Lemon Icebox Pie III

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2010
Yummy, easy pie! Only reason I did not give this 5 stars was even using 3 lemons for the zest and juice, we still could barely taste any lemon. I guess we just like a lot of tang in our lemon or lime pies. This recipe is definitely a keeper but I will up the lemon substantially in the future.

Sweet Onion BBQ Burgers

Reviewed: May 31, 2010
Very good! The husband enjoyed them too. They remind me of a "western" burger we get at a local restaurant here in town. Note: I did not have any fresh or frozen onions so I just used some french fried onions for the topping. VERY good!

Black Beans and Rice

This was pretty good. I won't drain all the liquid off my beans next time, as the dish wasn't quite "wet" enough in my opinion, and I will definitely season it up a bit more.
