Applesauce French Toast

I'm not a huge french toast fan, but this applesauce makes it good enough to eat. Another reviewer had said they used pumpkin pie spice, which I used in addition to the cinnamon (I also added vanilla). I didn't measure, but just estimated, but overall, a great change up! Although its not amazing, this is the recipe I'll probably make from now on.

Asian Roll Lettuce Wrap

Tres Leches (Milk Cake)

Since its summer, I didn't bake the cake from the recipe, but used the milk mixture. I used another reviewer's suggestion to use white cake, which was fine. I used nonfat milk, so it was more liquidy than I had wanted, but that was my fault. Next time I'll try 1 cup milk plus the evap and condensed milks. It is great! Thanks for a great recipe.

Soft Taco Burgers

These were great. I didn't measure, but used the ingredients plus some lime juice. I only gave it 4 stars due to the sticking on the grill. I sprayed the grill well, but they still stuck. However, I found that the cooler part of the grill cooked the burgers/tacos perfectly. Next time I'll be sure to cook the burgers only on the cool portion of the grill to prevent sticking. We loved em!

Confetti Tortellini Salad

Impossible Pumpkin Pie

It was a good recipe. I enjoyed it. Not the best ever, I'll probably use suggestions to enhance it, but definitely worth using. I am not a crust fan, so this was ideal for me.

Corn Souffle

Not very souffle like. Disappointed. It was good, but not at all what was described. Glad I tried it before Turkey Day. I'd recommend finding a better recipe - unless you have low expectations.

Cranberry Pistachio Biscotti

I really enjoyed this cookie. We have a recipe, where we put the batter all into a 13x9 pan. When its done baking, cut it lengthwise and then cut across. Much easier than making 2 loafs. I didn't even attempt that part. About 45 minutes in baking for the big loaf. Also, I omitted 1/2 ts of the vanilla for about 1/2 ts of anise. The pistachios (which I love) were a bit too much. I'll probably add less and chop them and add a few more cranberries. Other than those changes, it is a fantabulous recipe!

Sicilian Ricotta Cheesecake

Bland and no flavor. I even allowed the cheesecake to sit for a day in the fridge. The flavors never came through. I've had fabulous Ricotta cheesecake, and this didn't even compare.

French Onion Soup V

Only gave 4 stars because I thought the recipe was missing a few things. I made the recipe exact, but found I had to add some ingredients to make it pop. Worcestershire was a must! It was missing a bit of something else, just haven't figured it out yet. However, the recipe itself is agreat starting point! I used Gruyere cheese and french baguette to top it off!

Cranberry Orange Cookies

The cookie is good. My cookies are flat, not sure why. I had to cut the cook time down to 9 minutes, and had to bring down the temp to 325 after trial and error each batch through the oven. I would like a bit more orange flavor, so I will add more OJ next time. Maybe the acidity is why they're flat? Debating whether to add frosting. After trying each batch, decided to add a bit of vanilla extract, which perfectly evened out the flavor. The cookie is quite festive looking. I don't like it fresh out of the oven, but once cooled, is quite good!

Easy Mini Quiche

Very easy! A great on the go breakfast to make ahead of time. Thanks for the recipe! Simple, not amazing, but good. Mine muffins rose beautifully, but then fell. Next time I will try rising agents.

Chicken Chili Soup

I have been looking for a good chicken chili, and this recipe is it! My DH loved it and so did I. A great flavor that marries perfectly with cheese. YUM!!! This is a keeper.

White Cheese Chicken Lasagna

Never tasted a white lasagna, but I bet this one is the best! Its so good. It is a lot of prep, but well worth it. I always manage to miss putting broccoli or spinach because of all of the other preparing I'm doing. Made this for my family for Thanksgiving and they LOVED it. Thanks for making me look like a superstar!

Meatball Cookies

THese are ok. I won't make them again. The frosting is too much. The cookie itself it too spicy. The chocolate taste funny with the spices. Nothing is really meshing well here. My husband isn't excited he has to help me get rid of them. He would much rather eat the other cookies I made.

Garlic Cheese Chicken Rollups

Pretty good! I was being lazy and just made a garlic spread spooned it on top of the chicken breast and mixed together some parm and bread crumbs. I sprinkled the parm mixture over the chicken and garlic spread threw it in the oven for about an hour, and they were great. Coulda been better and juicier, but I didn't feel like pounding them out.
