My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas and Thanksgiving meals, banana bread on Sunday mornings, letting the the kids shake their own butter from fresh cream on Thanksgiving ( a great occupier- especially when theyre little). Making "goo balls: or buckeyes as some people call them, for santa. Too much to mention :)
My cooking triumphs
A pan seared tenderloin of beef with baby onions and a red wime , shallot, and mushroom reduction sauce! Yumm Yumm! It went along with grilled asparagus, garlic mashed potatoes, and beefsteak tomato salad. The best meal Ive ever made.
My cooking tragedies
A batch of chocolate chip cookies that i accidentally put 1 T of salt insted of 1t, ouch. A brisket on the grill that ended up so dry we had to shred it and turn it into pulled beef, slathered in BBQ sauce. Theres too many to mention - we all have them :)

Angie's To-Die-For Banana Bread
Thanks for the reviews everyone. Im glad most everyone loves it like we do. As far as the way I wrote the instructions about mixing was simply to help those who dont bake often. Im making 2 loaves in the morning and cant wait. Bake on and pass this recipe on to your friends - theyll thank you for it!!! Angie

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies
Awesome recipe. The kids loved them - we all did, I still have a batch in the oven but had to run in and write this. Not to gooey, not too cakey, just enough crisp on the edges. Great ccc recipe, it will be the new staple at our home. Heres a baking tip though, they dont brown up alot (or at least mine didnt) so I cooked the first batcha tad too long. Id pull them right at 10 minutes or when you just start to see a little brown on the edges, otherwise they get a little too firm. Thanks for a great recipe.

Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast
This is a great recipe. The pork turned out great and was very tender. I substituted 3T red wine vinegar, with 2T red wine and 1 T balsamic vinegar, and used fresh garlic instead of garlic powder. I also added fresh mushrooms. The sauce was a little lacking so I strained, it reduced it and added a packet of brown gravy mix and served over rice. Very tasty. Try this one, we all loved it.
