About this Cook
Hey, I'm here to find new recipes that I can share with my fiance. I cook, we eat, she washes, I dry. It's a nice little agreement.
My favorite things to cook
I tend to gravitate toward meats and seafood on the grill, and I generally stay away from the oven. I love cooking American, Italian, and Mexican food. Oh, and I love eating it too.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother's homemade mac n' cheese. My dad's hamburgers. You know, the healthy stuff.
My cooking triumphs
I wouldn't call any of my creations triumphs, simply because I'm not much of a creative force in the kitchen. I'm a recipe follower, and a good one at that. I typically keep variations to a minimum.
My cooking tragedies
***KNOCKING ON WOOD*** None so far...

Easy Yet Romantic Filet Mignon
This turned out exceptional on the first attempt! Make sure that you get yourself the top quality cut of meat. I served this for my fiance on Valentine's Day along with grilled shrimp and sauteed asparagus. Those recipes can be found here on allrecipes.com-- Ron's Grilled Shrimp Pan-Fried Asparagus Wonderful filet recipe! Thanks!!!

Crayfish or Shrimp Pasta
Great recipe, although I would make two suggestions. 1) Use linguine instead of angel hair. 2) Most cajun seasonings are incredibly salty. Keep that in mind and half the amount of seasoning if salty foods bother you. And I'll also say that it took a very long time for my sauce to thicken. Allow over an hour when planning this meal! Great recipe! Thanks!

Ron's Grilled Shrimp
Awesome marinade. The shrimp came out delicious. I marinaded for about 90 minutes and then grilled the shrimp with a vegetable grilling basket. Awesome.
