Portobello Stacks

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2007
This recipe was excellent! The step that indicates the method of putting the stacks together was a little confusing, so I placed them them this way: mushroom, eggplant, onion, tomato, and cheese on top. I did marinate the onion and mushroom as instructed and would keep it this way but not too much, so that it's not soggy. The eggplant should be thinly sliced as its overpowering if to thick. In order to keep the mushroom and eggplant from drying out I made mix of extra virgin olive oil and salt mix (garlic powder, vegi-sal, and seasoning salt)and lightly coated them. This would be a fun appetizer if sliced into triangle shapes and placed on toothpicks!! Next time I make it I am sure to add a photo if one has not been added yet! Thanks for a great recipe!

Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2005
This was a big disapointment. The flavor of sour cream overwhelmed the dish, that really did not make as much as claimed. The bland flavor was really in need of a good kick. Will NEVER make again.

This has got to be one of the BEST chicken and pasta dishes I have come accross. We really enjoyed it and will most obviously make it again!

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Feb. 28, 2005
This was all wrong. I did not get the number of cookies it claimed to have made, the time was too high at 400 and should be more like 325 or 350. I will keep looking.

Banana Banana Bread

I am not as impressed with this recipe as I had hoped I would be. It really does need a little bit more of a kick, maybe some nutmeg or vanilla? Just didnt do it for us, I have had better. But it was good.

Bloody Mary Salmon

AMAZING! We loved this so much, even the kids did. It is very quick and envolves very little work. ***We have made this several times now, the spicy bloody mary mix is necessary in order to live up to the expectations of the recipe! It continues to be wonderful!

Chicken with Lime Butter

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2005
VERY GOOD! The chicken was rather juicy, and the flavor was a delight! The thing I did different was cut each chicken breast in half and also replaced the remaining chicken in the sauce to soak will waiting for the first person to claim them as seconds! It was great, will most definitly make again!

This was one that I was hoping would be much better then it ended up being. My children would not eat it and it was quite dry. It did however fare well reheated for lunch the next day according to my husband... I will not make again.

Hawaiian Hot Dog Surprise

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2005
So the kids loved it but it was not my favorite as the sweetness was overwhelming. I advise to consider cutting back on sugars. I also expected it to be a little thicker but instead it was more like a soup consistency.

Granny's Beef Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2005
The cook times on this recipe seemed to be quite odd, as the vegetables needed more then even an hour. The flavor was very good, the texture was a little thinner then we like so I mixed a little flour with the juice and added to soup to thicken. Really Enjoyed on this cold winters night!

Cheesiest Potato Soup

This reminds me of the days my mother made her potato soup that you couldnt get enough of. I would suggest making more as the six servings is a little skimpy, however tasty to the very last drop!!!

This was very tasty, however the chicken was suprisingly dry. I followed the recipe exactly so I am going to suggest that the baking time was a little long.
