Orange Juice Chicken

Reviewed: May 8, 2007
Family loves this chicken. I thought it was a little on the sweet side, but everyone else raved about it. I served with a combo of white & wild rice w/ a can of peas. Thanks for recipe!

Soft Onion Sandwich Rolls

Great sandwich rolls! 2nd time I made these, I left out the onion ingredients and made regular dinner rolls. Both times rolls were delicious!! Highly recommend this recipe!

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2006
Best Banana Bread recipe!! I had to add some vanilla and I can't make banana bread without nuts; so I added some chopped walnuts too. Very dense and moist... excellent!

Crusty Potato Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2006
Good, easy bread. My breadmachine labored on this one... maybe it's time to get a new one? I usually use dough setting on machine and remove to bake in my oven, as I don't care for the bread "bricks" that come out of the machine. I used 1/2 whole wheat flour, and 1/2 all-purpose; rose beautifully and made a good textured loaf.

Jacksonville Crisps

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2006
Good, hearty cookie! I used Honey Bunches of Oats w/ cinnamon clusters, for the cereal and they turned out great. I only got about 1.5 dozen from recipe (apparently I make HUGE cookies). Thanks for a good, different recipe!

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2006
Great, quick & easy recipe! I made a few additions; since my daughter informed me that she was going to have a friend over for dinner. I added 1/4 C quick oats, 8 oz. can of tomato sauce, about 10 dashes of Worchestershire sauce. This extended this dish nicely - I will definitely keep this recipe on hand for a great quick meal.

Honey Oatmeal Bread I

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2006
Rather dense for my taste; but moist and very tasty. I added 1/2 C extra flour (per other reviewer's suggestions about too much liquid) and I had some pure maple syrup that I used for the honey. Thanks for recipe!

Very simple recipe! I used 16 oz. of cream cheese instead of 8 oz. and topped with fresh blueberries instead of pie filling. Wonderful dessert!

Hash Brown Quiche

Excellent casserole! Made mine with bulk pork sausage, instead of ham and it turned out great! Both husband and daughter liked, so that is a big A++++++++++

Gramma Brown's Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2006
Excellent recipe! I only added an extra can of broth (3 instead of 2), probably because I added more potato than what the recipe called for. I also used corn starch w/ the milk, instead of the flour paste (personal preference), and an EXTRA large can of whole kernel corn. Everyone who tasted had rave reviews... Thank you for submitting recipe.

Chicken Suiza Cornbread Bake

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2006
This was a great alternative to red-sauced mexican dishes that I have tried. I added a whole can of chiles, cayenne pepper (to zing it up a bit) and used 2 eggs instead of the egg sub. It was a big hit with the family and actually was eaten the next day as left-overs! A dish has to be REALLY special for my family to eat leftovers!

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2006
Excellent recipe! My husband loves rice pudding and this recipe was a winner with him. As a bonus, my 13 yr. old daughter, who will rarely try anything new also loves this dish and begged me to make it the next morning for breakfast!

This recipe was great! Only thing I left out were the red peppers. They were a big hit for our "Mexican Fiesta" Christmas dinner.

Toffee Pie Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2005
Everytime I make these "toffee bars", no one will eat any of the other treats I make! So I usually end up making 2-3 batches at a time so there will be plenty to go around. Something I ALWAYS do is line the pan with foil and lightly spray with cooking spray (if you want to enjoy the cookies and not all the work involved in cleaning the pan)
