Navy Bean Soup I

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2005
GREAT!!! I didn't use tomatoes, and I used smoked sausage instead of ham, and it turned out wonderful! My husband is a very picky vegetable eater, and he loved it! The whole house smelled so good while it was cooking.

Old-Fashioned Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Jan. 9, 2006
This is absolutely Great. I am not a fan of the "easy" fudge recipes and this tasktes exactly like my Grandmother's old recipe. I did add pecans to mine and it was great. Husband and kids loved it!

Easy and Good. I made this for my Mom, she loves Peanut butter fudge and I was not sure how it would taste, but I was surprised. It was very tasty!

Maybe I did not follow instructions very well, but it did not go over well with me or my family.

Crab Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Feb. 6, 2006
This was so easy..SO delicious! It was very similar to a dish I had in a restaurant. I left out the savory and thyme (didn't have either one) but I added minced garlic, and when I put all of them in the pan, I sprayed the tops with spray butter. Absolutely great recipe! My husband and kids didn't try them, but I didn't mind...I made them for a Superbowl get-together and my friend and I loved them!

Basil Shrimp

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2006
i was pleasantly surprised with this recipe.....i did leave out the basil b/c i don't like basil very much, but it was still great. My husband loved it as well. I was unsure of the mustard, like everyone else, but it really did give it a kick. I will be sure to keep this recipe around!

Caesar Salad Supreme

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2006
i was afraid that this would be over-powering, b/c when i taste-tested the dressing before i refrigerated it, it was kinda fishy, but on the salad, it was great and did not taste fishy at all. Our family loves ceasar salads, so this will become a regular!

Country Fried Squash

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2006
This was a good breading recipe for squash, but I am partial to Zattarains breading. I think if I would have added a lot more seasonings to suit my taste-buds it would have been better.

Chicken Scampi II

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2006
This was absolutely great, my whole family liked it. I did not have basil, but it turned out ok without it. I did add extra lemon juice (1/2 tsp.) and an extra clove of garlic. I was afraid it was going to be greasy with all the butter (I used real butter) and olive oil, but it wasn't. Overall....great recipe! Thanks for sharing! Can't wait to make it for company.

Bev's Chocolate Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2006
This was my first attempt at making chocolate pie ever..and I love it!! I did not follow the recipe exactly....I only had 2 small cans of evap. milk so I used a small amount of regular milk to make up the difference, and it came out just fine. I have never made meringue before either....but my mixer came with a cook-book and I looked up directions to make that and, the meringue came out beautifully. Thanks for the great recipe!!!

Caramelized Baked Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2006
This had a very good flavor, I used chicken wings and wished I had used breasts. I covered the pan when i put it in the oven and I think maybe I should not have done that, b/c the sauce never caramelized, I had to add cornstarch to it. I took the cover off after about 30 mins thinking that this was why the sauce was not getting thick, but it still didn't help much. SO, the mistake could have completely been my fault. However, the flavor was great! Can't wait to try it on breasts..thanks for the recipe.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

This was a good recipe, I just must not be a big fan of beef stroganoff. It tasted good, and I was pleased with the outcome, but I don't think it will be something that I fix again.

Roasted Vidalia Onions

Reviewed: Jun. 12, 2006
This was pretty good...I wish that I had some cheese to put over the top of it b/c it really did taste like french onion soup. I think that I cooked mine a bit too long though. I will try it again and not cook it so long!
