A mother of four children that I've for the most part raised on my own. Where does the time go? I only have one left at home, when my third one graduates this spring 2010. I love to read, walk, listen to music, flowers (without the neighborhood cats pooping in my flowerbeds!), cook. Hardly watch any t.v. but need to catch up on some movies -- the library is the source!

Pretty much anything that doesn't require ingredients you need to buy but hardly ever use.
My favorite family cooking traditions
The older I get, the less I like spaghetti sauce. My dad introduced me to canned tomatoes and cooked ground beef over pasta.
My cooking triumphs
Creamy Eggs on Toast. My kids love this. It is just basically white sauce with cheese and chopped hard boiled eggs, ladled onto toast and eaten with a glass of juice.
My cooking tragedies
Pie crusts are a challenge for me; I dread it. I am just too impatient. Yeast breads are another thing I need to work on.
